Comments: Was originally supposed to be soup, and that is what was printed on the menu. The flight attendant seemed genuinly surprised to find that the soup had been upgraded to an option of lasagna or cheese pizza. Apparently this was the first day for the newly upgraded menu on this route. Aircraft: 763 Meal: Prosciutto appetizer with cantaloupe puree, salad with cream dressing, steak with mashed potatoes accompanied by onion and pepper side and ice cream sundae with whipped cream, chopped walnuts and chocolate sauce. Afterwards this was followed by baked on board cookies before arrival. Drink: Tomato juice with lemon, water and red wine Comments: Overall a pretty tasty and satisfying meal. The cantaloupe puree wtih balsamic was a bit unusual. However, the steak was tender and the ice cream sundae provided a perfect ending to the meal. Drink: Your choice Comments: Pretty good food. I never thought Id find myself complementing the bread that I got with an airline meal, but the bread roll I got with this meal was delicious. There were actually three beverage services with this meal (before meals were served, just after, and after taking away trays), which I found pretty astounding. But maybe its just me that lives under a rock. Drink: Your choice Comments: It was all lousy. The salad was stale, the meat tasted funny, and the potatoes were set in a big lump. Heres some free advice: always choose chicken. Drink: Orange juice Comments: Nothing special. The crossaint had been "warmed". It felt warm on the outside but didnt really feel fresh or have any real warmth on the inside. Shrimp Cocktail Salad of lettuce, parmesan cheese and caesar dressing Foccacia Bread Choclate ice cream with raspberry cheesecake and raspberry sauce. Drink: Miller Genuine Draft and Water Comments: The meal was really tasty actually. The piece of chicken was large and tender and the shrimp were good. Drink: Baileys on the rocks Comments: While I miss the hot option that used to be on this flight, this is a vast improvement over what used to be a biscuit and a fruit plate. Picture 2: Cheese tortellini in a mushroom sauce with foccacia bread and a salad of lettuce and paremesan with ranch. Picture 3: Choclate ice cream and raspberry cheesecake. Drink: Amstel Lite/Red Wine Comments: I believe this meal may now come with a shrimp cocktail appitizer which makes it even better. Quality and taste were good and the ice cream was less frozen than usual. Very adequate meal for this flight. Note: this beer no longer exists on American Rating (1-10):
