It is like the third year that I am having these items. Duck and rice main course. Ice cream to end. Excellent meal. Drink: Malbec blend Comments: I believe AA still has the best meal service of US domestic airlines. It would not take much to be on par with their international piers, a good place to start would be bringing back the previous china pattern. Garden salad with Italian dressing. Breaded chicken breast with marinara and green beans. Baked on board cookies and mints on arrival. Drink: Red wine - Malbec Comments: AA "snack" service is much better than many airlines serve in F as their full meal service. The other option was a large salad with shrimp. Choices of multi-grain or white bread. Grilled chicken breast with marinara. Strawberry cheesecake. Mints on arrival. Drink: Merlot Comments: Great service as usual, lots of food. and good presentation. Seems AA is also trying to offer a healthier choice with each meal service. Salmon and prawns for an app., which I skipped. Mixed greens salad with Chateaubriand. Cheese and crackers or sundae for desert. Drink: Jack and Coke, Malbec Comments: I really like AA meal service but wish the late night dinner services had more options. The main course is served on one plate with the salad or veggies. Overall, great service and food. Fruit as a side consited of one piece of strawberry and, as per usual, the completely useless pile of melon pieces tasting like water. Coffee and other drinks were available and you could ask for sparkling wine as well. Drink: Coffee and a glass of bubly Comments: So-called "first" class on AA would be called "Business" anywhere else in the world. Attitude of staff is a gamble on these domestic US flights, ranges from super-professional to downright rude and hopeless. Shockingly old equipment used on most major US airlines domestically. Food in this case was very tasty though. Flight was 2 hours long and you would expect a bit more in "First" for that- on same route back we got a lovely full dinner. Drink: Red wine Comments: Nuts themselves are heated and actually quite lovely, just not as a main meal. After flying AA First a couple of times, you get quite over those mixed nuts though. Aircraft a museum model which looks like falling apart any minute- scare that in the US, they still use these to transport people rather than cargo! Drink: Diet Coke Comments: Filling. Pizza as a snack was handed out prior to landing. The choices for bread were the biscuits, bagels, or a raisin bread slice. These came with butter and two types of jelly. Drink: Mimosa Comments: The meal was good and more than enough for a flight that departed at 0645. Hot options are usually available for 2.30+ hour flights. Rating (1-10):
