Comments:	This complimentary light meal was basic, but adequate for a short-haul flight. The flag carrier serves either cheese or poultry sandwiches, a Hungarian chocolate wafer and a limited choice of soft drinks on short-haul flights that are at least 90 minutes in duration. This is followed by a choice of tea or coffee. The passenger sitting next to me was surprised that Malév had replaced the plate of cold cuts and cheese that it used to offer in short-haul economy with a relatively small sandwich roll and asked a flight attendant if her sandwich could at least be warmed up. The stewardess conceded that cost-cutting had taken its toll on the airline.

Comments:	As Malev provides one of the best on-board food, meal, catering among the airlines in the region, I was satisfied with the service in respect of quality and quantity as well - both the drinks and the bread was offered twice - in Economy Class.
