Comments: Wow, it was a good lounge visit today! The
lady in charge of the diamond club lounge was so polite! She actually
came to my seat and asked "can I get you something Sir"!! I
am sure that this is not normal policy because most lounges tend to be
self service. There were a couple of elderly ladies in the next table
to me and she made them a pot of tea each and brought it to them on a
tray with biscuits, cheese and crackers! I was impressed!
In terms of food, it was nothing too extraordinary. They had some
really cute mince pies in the lounge for Christmas. I don't like mince
pies but took one back to my seat so I could take a picture for airlinemeals.net.
Drink was a smooth 18 year old Glenlivet single malt scotch whisky, it's
such a lovely malt! Also had a bloody mary which I managed to polish off
fairly quickly (hence the shot of an empty bloody mary glass!). The wine
didn't look too exciting so I passed. One thing missing was champagne.
Even LH have a sparkling wine available in their Senator lounges so bmi
have some catching up to do. However, I can't complain because I enjoyed
the malt whiskey!
