Flying from: New York JFK to Dublin, 27 February 2003
Flight duration: about 6 hours
Aircraft type & class: Airbus A330 Economy
Meal type: Dinner - "Beef" or "Chicken"
Drink: Red or white wine, beer (Heineken or Guinness), various liquors
Comments: "The chicken, rice and veggies was pleasant enough, the cheesecake was quite nice, and Aer Lingus definitely gets extra points for providing cheese, crackers and a little sweet (a minty chocolate!) - a touch other carriers are doing away with these days."
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 7.5

Flying from Boston BOS to Shannon SNN (Ireland)
Class: Coach
Meal type: Dinner - I had (image #011) beef and vegetables in a port wine sauce with boiled new potatoes, three-bean salad, crackers and cheese, roll and butter, and cheesecake. My wife Molly had the same (image #012), except for she had chicken curry for the entree.
Drink: Coca-Cola (they did offer complimentary wine with the meal, but we don't drink).
Comments: "About the best you can expect for coach-class food. Food was hot and fairly fresh. The 'marinade' for the salad was very sweet and much
thicker than I'd ever had before, but not unpleasantly so. Rolls were hot, which was a nice touch. The cheesecake was simple, but quite good."
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 7
