Flying from Paris CDG to Tunis, 28 May 2003
Flight duration: 2h27
Aircraft type: Airbus A320
Class: Business
Meal type: Dinner - Seafood terrine, spicy lemon pasta,
herb chicken with potatoes and broccoli, cheese, apple tart, and chocolate
covered nuts
Drink: water and Julienas red burgundy.
Comments: Adequate but not spectacular. Herb chicken
was kind of tasteless as were the potatoes. I like the two different kinds
of cheeses and the apple tart was very good.

Flying from Paris CDG to Los Angeles, 16 May 2003
Flight duration: 11h30
Aircraft type: Boeing 747-400, Economy
Meal type: Dinner - Appetizer: Carrot-raisin salad, cucumber
yoghurt salad, chicken and dried fruit kebab; Main course: Beef goulash
with rice; camembert cheese; kiwi fruit; chocolate cake and bread.
Drink: Water and Cote de Carcassonne red wine.
Comments: Alot of things on the plate however overall
disappointing. I didn't particularly like them mixing the various appetizers
on one plate.
Separately would have been more enjoyable. The beef was overcooked and
tough. The cheese is always good. The kiwi on the other hand was as hard
as a rock - no plastic knife could cut through it (I doubt a metal one
could have). If someone were to through it, it would have been a very
dangerous weapon - should have been kept off the plane and certainly off
my tray!!!!
The chocolate cake was very very good and moist.

Flying from Paris-CDG to Los Angeles, 4 May 2003
Flight duration: 11 hours
Aircraft: Boeing 747-400, Business
Meal type: Dinner - Appetizer of smoked salmon and zucchini
salad; main course of cheese filled spinach ravioli with tomato sauce;
cheese; and orange and grapefruit slices for dessert
Drink: Red Bordeaux wine and Badoit sparkling water
Comments: This came as a surprise: two full meals on
the flight (Lunch and Dinner). It is usually one main meal and a light
snack or light breakfast.
The smoked salmon was very good, thickly sliced and generous portions.
The ravioli was OK but a bit overcooked and dried out with not enought
tomato sauce. Dessert of fresh citrus slices is very refreshing and light.

Flying from Paris-CDG to Los Angeles, 4 May 2003
Flight duration: 11 hours
Aircraft: Boeing 747-400, Business
Meal type: Lunch
What was in the meal: Appetizer of baby scallops and grapefruit; main
course of lamb, sauteed potatoes and green beans; cheese; dessert of lemon
tart, apricot sorbet and AF's great petit fours.
Drink: Piper Heidseck champagne, Burgundy red wine (Chassagne-Montrachet)
and Badoit sparkling water.
Comments: The first course was refreshing and light.
Not too sure so much grapefruit was necessary as overpowered baby scallops.
Lamb was OK, a bit overcooked as were the vegetables (not good). Good
dessert options and of course my favourite selection of AF petit fours.
Not one of the better meals I have had on this airline.
