Route: Anchorage to Chicago, 1 Oct 2003
Ticket price: $378.70 RT
Flight duration: 6 hr
Aircraft type & class: Boeing 737-700 First Class
Business or leisure trip?: Leisure
Meal type: Snack
Contents of the meal: Spaghetti Pie with Corn Relish, Ghirardelli Mint Chocolate Square
Drink: True Alaska Water
Comments: This snack was served 90 min. prior to landing in Chicago. Breakfast had been served 4 hrs prior to that. Not sure what made the spaghetti stick together in the pie. The taste was fine and the texture was "interesting." Corn relish was too spicy for my taste so I didn't eat it. I liked the chocolate. I also liked seeing True Alaska Water served on the airline; it's bottled in Sitka, Alaska!

Route: Anchorage to Chicago, 1 Oct 2003
Ticket price: $378.70
Flight duration: 6 hr
Aircraft type & class: Boeing 737-700 First Class
Business or leisure trip?: Leisure
Meal type: Breakfast
Contents of the meal: Breakfast came in two courses. First, a fresh fruit plate (kiwi, pineapple, orange) and warm apple cinnamon muffin with pat of butter. Course Two consisted of 2 multi-grain pancakes with fruit compote topping and 2 patties of sausage.
Drink: "Seattle's Best" Coffee
Comments: The fruit was sweet and juicy, the muffin tasted like home baked right out of the oven. Delicious! The pancakes were just average, and I was wishing I had some maple syrup. I don't think pancakes should be "healthy." They just need to be good! The sausage had a funny, rubbery texture and because of this I only ate two bites. Luckily the muffin and fruit were very satisfying and were plenty for breakfast. The service was excellent and the presentation very appetizing. I was surprised and pleased to see the return of a real metal knife!
