Route: DAC-FRA (via KWI, FCO), date: 05 August 2004
Flight duration: 16:45h
Aircraft type & class: DC10-30, Maslin Executive Class
Business or leisure trip: Leisure
Meal type: Hot meal, late lunch
Contents of the meal: Hot meal (some kind of meat, curry rice with nuts and spices, roll & butter, arabian sweets for dessert), lunch (lamb with pasta and tomato sauce, roll & butter, shrimp salad with filled tomato and lemon, lemon tart)
Drink: Heineken beer, water, coffee or tea
Comments: Hot meal: When I was served this meal, I immediately returned it because it was almost cold (too much on the plate if you ask me). Instead of reheating it, they gave me a different dish, which was not that special. However, I kept the arabian sweets which were superb. Lunch: The lamb had a strong taste, the pasta was a bit boring. Salad and dessert were quite ok. The first Heineken was too warm, so I complained and the chief purser came with a second one later on.
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 5 (hot meal), 4 (lunch), 10 (arabian sweets)

Flight duration: 5:35h
Aircraft type & class: A310-300, Maslin Executive Class
Business or leisure trip: Leisure
Meal type: Snack, dinner

Drink: Red wine, water, soft drinks
Comments: This was a funny flight. Mr. Kostermans from the World Bank, who sat next to me on the BKK-DAC sector, didn´t know that Biman serves alcohol on request. So we had some glasses of wine and enjoyed the good meal.
