Flying from: New York JFK to London LHR, 9 November 2002
Class: Club World (Business)
Meal type: Dinner, or Supper as the Menu called it - This is the
“appetizer” – a mere salad, nothing to write home about. Why is it that
on the westbound transatlantic flights, you get both an appetizer AND a
salad, but on east-bound – only salad. Not consistent! The desert is
served with the salad in B-class. In this case it was an almond torte
with fresh berries and Mascarpone. Not bad.
Drink: I had the Heidsieck Champagne at first, then followed up with
some Meursault with the salad. Should have stuck with the Champagne.
Comments: "All-in-all, your typical B-class pre-entrée course.
Not especially good. The “totally flat-bed seats” more than make up for
the food deficiencies."
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 5.5 (this tray was totally average,
except for the desert)

Flying from: Birmingham, England to Stockholm, 28 October 2002
Class: Club Europe
Meal type: Dinner - Salmon with rice and vegetables. Ginger cakey thing, vegetable sticks with cream cheese.
Drink: Club soda with lime and tea.
Comments: Salmon was tasty as was rice and vegetables. Ginger cakey-think was sweet and perfect. I wanted more but then noticed the other folks had a different dessert so lucky me!!!!!! Vegetable sticks went out in third grade along with the cream cheese.
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 10 for the cake and a close 7 for the rest of the food.

Meal type: Late dinner - A seasoned garden salad with balsamico vinigrette., with a cold potato salad. With this there was a choice of marinated chicken breast(pic) and a grilled schrimps stuff.... For desert a blyeberry tart, with wipped cream. a selections of hot rolls, twice and chocolate on the tray.
Drink: Coke and Tea.
Comments: Not bad for a 2 hour flight I think. The salad was fresh, and the chicken well cooked, but not dry. And the cake, was very good for an airline cake to be.
