BA All day deli
Swiss cheese and ham croissant
Blackberry yoghurt
Strawberry cereal bar
Sunkist orange juice
Comments: Sigh! My first experience of the all day deli
3 days ago should have been prepared me for this. I have no complaints
about the service on BA, but their all day deli is unsuited to international
flights, given that other airlines offer a prepared second meal. This
packaged offering was truly underwhelming and more like something I would
get on a train. More effort is required with light meals, especially when
BA show they can serve perfectly good main meals.

Meal Type: dinner
Starter: A very ordinary salad of mixed leaves topped with finely sliced
carrots.
Main Course: Beef with gratin and beans in gravy
Dessert: Lemon cheesecake
Drink: Cuvee Heritage Bordeaux
Comments: The salad was uninspired - bland. All I can
say about the main course was that the beef was tender and the gravy tasty.
The highlight if there was one was the cheesecake which managed an intensity
of flavour that I had despaired of in airline food. Still, it was not
enough to save the overall meal from a poor mark.

sandwich with ready packaged accompaniments. The carrot cake was tasty,
though. Rating: 4

Meal Type: lunch
Starter: A salad of chorizo sausage and feta cheese on a bed of mixed
leaves and tomatoes.
Main Course: Beef stew and cheese gratin with carrots, courgettes and
leeks
Dessert: Strawberry Trifle
Drink: Cuvee Heritage Bordeaux
Comments: The salad was lovely - fresh and flavourful.
The beef was done well and not too tough, although the vegetables were
a bit soft and there was a touch too much gravy. I was worried about it
spilling over. Strawberry trifle was a bit of a disappointment. Not enough
strawberry and a tad dry, although it was nice to have something that
was a departure from the usual bland cakes. Wine was not chilled as it
should be (unlike ANA).

Contents of the meal: Cheese + Ham Ciabatta, a yoghurt, a blueberry muffin,
a fruit cocktail, a refresher wipe, milk and sugar
Drink: Coke
Comments: At first i was disappointed by the choice,
either a cheese ciabatta bread or a ham + cheese ciabatta. However, I
have to say that this simple food was, although relatively small, very
nice and perfectly satisfactory. The yoghurt and the muffin were both
very nice, the yoghurt with an excellent flavour balance and the muffin
quite moist and definitely not dry
