Comments: Not bad at all for short flight. It had been awhile since I hadn't flown BA business and found the food served on this short flight is better than what Air France has to offer in its business class. Negative point is the size of the chocolate "dessert": only a Tic-Tac could possibly be smaller.

Comments: Flavourless sandwich on could-be-fresher sliced bread. We were seated near the rear of the plane and by the time the staff reached us there was no choice of sandwich filling left. Those seated further forward could choose between egg or chicken salad. Dessert was a plastic pot containing a layer of strawberry conserve topped with custard and then a thin layer of cream - a bit like trifle. This was ok but I yearn for the days when BA served proper cooked meals on all its flights, regardless of duration and travel class.

I was starving when I got on this flight and lunch should have done the trick, but strangly didn't.

Starter - Bradan Orach smoked salmon. Very nice, great texture and taste. Washed down with some Gravelstone chardonny (very nice) and some champagne.
Main - given the choices of tandoori chicken, or prawn salad I went for the "rustic" beef cottage pie. Warm, bit wet, but tasty. Even though my defintion of rustic pies doesn't contain green beans. Washed down with a Columbia Valley merlot (very nice), and some more champagne.
Desert - ruby orange and chocolate timbale. Chocolate bit is very nice, orange sauce is a little sickly. Washed down with a cup of black tea and some more champagne.

This flight was the first when I have raided the larder in the BA upstairs deck (cheese sandwich, Dorritos and Cadbury Dairy Milk - not pictured).
Also included a picture of my mid-afternoon sandwich meal - salmon and cheese, served half and half.
Service was excellent throughout the flight, but I am at a loss as to how BA can run out of water on flights of this length.

Comments: Nowhere was the evidence of cost cutting more apparent that in the breakfast service – where was the traditional breakfast? The panini was horrible, and they even resorted to paper cups for the coffee – must have run out of the standard airline plastic cups. I was glad to get off the flight and have a proper breakfast on the ground. I can’t wait for Qantas to compete on the HKG to LHR route – guess who I will be flying.

Meal: Breakfast
Yoghurt, Danish
Drink: Orange Juice, Tea
Comments: This is the WORST breakfast from a full-service airline I have had in a long time. What's going on BA? You used to be a good airline! The danish was ice-cold and chewy. It tasted about 3 days old. You can't do much with yoghurt - that was ok. The tea in a paper cup was a bit rude too. This is a pathetic breakfast at the end of a long flight and when you haven't eaten for 6 hours. I won't be venturing on a
BA aircraft again for a long while! Compared to the Asian carriers, there is no comparison!

Comments: The crew graciously granted my request of fruit, yogurt and cereal all on one plate and was excellently presented. The toast was cold, the pastries were ok and the full english breakfast was amazing - one of the best i've had. I watched the cabin steward cook the scambled eggs from raw egg batter freshly....Amazing for an aircraft! They even got me some tomato ketchup to got with it. Drink: Mineral Water, St. Supéry Meritage 2001, Napa Valley Sauvingnon Blanc
Comments: Whilst not originally excited by the menu at first glance, the quality of food and presentation of this meal turned out to be superb. Crew were particularly firendly and the steward in charge of food preparatin was more than accomplished when it came to presentation on the plate which was better than that of some good restaurants. Bread selection was warm but was not particularly good. Note, the food out of London Heathrow is usually the most interesting in First on BA but the food quality usually remains consistently variable depending on the fight and crew serving it. A noticible change was the BA's new more relaxed, less formal cabin training scheme which aims to make cabin crew more approachable to passengers...this was most certainly the case.
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 9, I took of 1 point for the less interesting food choices on this route but the quality was certainly a 10.

Comment: Again, cabin crew on this flight looking after club were incredible. The main dish was served in a plastic dish - the f/a appologised repeatedly for this, as they had run out of china dishes in LIS. This is BA's new club service - gone, it appears, are the famous salads.
Instead, there was a choice of 3 meals (chicken, beef, and a salad) and, (I'm sure much to the delight of Mr Howard Long!) cheese has made a return! Although, there is no longer a desert. The chocolates were to die for, and the f/a offered more with my second cup of tea.

Comments: Very very small portion, hardly worth the effort. Certainly totally unacceptable considering the time we eventually flew. Wine not too bad. Journey from hell. Flight was due to leave at 16.00 but didn't leave until 20:00. Two pax went missing with bags in hold. Missed slot. Stacked over LHR for 45 mins. Stuck on tarmac waiting for a gate for 30 mins. 1hr 15mins to wait for baggage. Arrived home at midnight, due at 18:00. Another reason to avoid Heathrow. Another reason not to check baggage. Meal: Light Evening Meal
Chicken pesto with pasta, cheese & crackers, Bread, white and dark chocolate dessert.
Drink Canadian club whisky & coke, Martini & lemonade, pretty much anything else and coffe & tea.
Comments: Another great flight from BA, they really seem to be pulling there socks up of late, cannot fault the service one bit, very polite and always smiling, what ever you wanted they seemed to get. The chicken was really quite tasty and the other choice of beef casserole I was told was just as tasty, tried to get a picture of the beef but the wife had eaten half of it before I could get the camera out (must have been good). Cheeses were good and the bread was gorgeous, there were two choices and very rare for an airline to serve moist warm bread (superb), the dessert was also excellent very tasty, very impressed BA keep up the good work.

Comments: Really great service from start to finish, the food was just right, not to much and not to little, and the flavours all seemed to gell perfectly together, the cornish pasty was very good nice and moist, and I loved the idea of the cream tea which was really tasty, all in all keep it up BA.

Meal: Dinner
Drinks - water, white wine (other drinks available)
Starter was plain green salad and smoked salmon with cream cheese and some caper berries. Salmon was tasty, cheese was soft and creamy and the caper berries had lots of flavour. Very nice. Service was excellent
Main course was billed as chicken breast wrapped in ham. Slightly disappointing as there was a thighbone coming out of the breast meat. It was also covered in the skin of the chicken, which was very fatty. Proscutio ham on the outside was dry and hard at the top. Accompanying spinach and potatoes were tasty.
The Californian Chardonny that I ordered with it was lovely.
Skipped desert as my sleeping pill was kicking in.

Aircraft type & class: Boeing 757, Club Europe Business Class
Business or Leisure: Business
Meal Type(s): Lunch
First Course: No longer offered
Main Course: Was supposed to be salmon fishcake, but was actually a ham and cheese toastie (more like a canapé!), a lettuce leaf and cherry tomato!
Dessert: Ginger cake with candied peel
Bread: Scone with clotted cream and jam
Drink Piper Heidseck Champagne Brut
Still water
Tea
Comments: Better than my LHR-NCE meal, but this "minimalist" new European business class meal service from British Airways leaves me very disappointed. The amount of food offered would hardly enable a mouse to survive, let alone a business traveller who has been working hard, often lacking the time to eat. This is such a shame, as the Club Europe meals used to be one of the better things about flying BA - they were actually quite edible. The crew did a very good job of looking after us all during our delay and diversion - it was as frustrating for them as it was for us all!
Rating (1-10): 2 - thinking about bringing my own food for my next trip!

I started with the smootie option, which could have had more of a kick to it. Then some of the pastries. The croissant was a little overcooked and dry around the edges, but tasty. The second roll was some kind of savoury cheese tasting roll, which I left.
Could have done with some jam choices instead of the marmalade they insist on serving.
The bacon sandwich that followed was a welcome sight. The bread wasn't excellent, and the bacon was quite fatty, but there was plenty of it and it all tasted good.
Followed up with some black tea and water

Comments: REVOLTING! To actually attempt to serve this to a passenger is a travesty. The old Club Europe service included a nice first course (like parma ham, etc.) and the main course was always a bed of salad greens with a choice of hot topping (seared salmon fillet, grilled chicken, lamb kebab, etc.), cheese & crackers, dessert and chocolates. All that seems to have disappeared in favour of this "minimalist" approach. It was an insult! The "meal" was greasy, tasteless, badly presented and ill-conceived. Even the crew were embarassed to be serving it! No salad, no first course, minimal amount of meat, no vegetable... nothing! To add insult to injury, the crew delivered some very tasty looking meal trays to the cockpit - oh how we all wished we could have had what the pilots were served! PLEASE RETHINK THIS, BRITISH AIRWAYS!!!

Comments: I went for the sweet option, rather than the savoury celery sticks rubbish. As you can see I think most of the basic food groups are represented ... Not. As far as nourishment is concerned, I'm sure BA could do better than this, but I have to say it was the best sugar rush I've had in years.
