Meal type: Lunch
Contents of the meal: Cheese Ciabatta, Water, Kit Kat, Muffin, Fruit Cocktail
Drink: Orange Juice (Not Pictured)
Comments: The Ciabatta was quite good. Cant complain about the water or
the Kit Kat. The muffin was horribly dry, and the fruit cocktail had unripened
pears and grapes. BA's breakfasts are quite good, but their lunches aren't
anything special. Still is better then what we get in the US on domestic
flights. However, BA's inflight service is excellent, and the seating
is very comfortable.

Aircraft type & Class: 747-400 economy
Meal type: Dinner
Contents of the Meal: Turkey Roll with sandwich salad, Jamaican Ginger
Bread cake, chives & onion pretzel snacks.
Drink: Coke & still mineral water
Comments: Nice little snack served about 90min before landing. though
a bit inadequate especially with nearly a 30min delay waiting for a plane
to move out of the way so we can get to our gate.
Through out the flight the staff was very attentive, and often came by
with drinks, water, and juice to drink. They were professional and attentive.
Despite some of the technical difficulties that plagued the in-flight
entertainment system (it was not working for part of the flight and different
problems in different cabins). Also the jetway wouldn't work at the gate
in London, so we had to walk across the tarmac and up a set of portable
stairs up into the plane. At least the seat I was in had a bit more leg
room than other economy seats witch made the flight much more pleasant.
thought the flight to London from sfo had more & cuter male stewards
than this flight ;-)
This trip was my first time flying on BA, My mother and I (took her to
London & Paris for her Christmas present this year) were very impressed
with the quality and level of service they provided during our flights.

Meal type: Lunch
Contents of the Meal: Chicken Crumble, Salmon & cuscus Salad, Roll
& butter, Cheese Cake in a caramel sauce, Twix bar.
Drink: Bottle water & tea with milk
Comments: A pleasant dinner. The chicken was toughly cooked, but just
warm in the middle. But at least there wasn't any cold spots. It had a
pleasantly flavored and creamy. The salad was nice, a bit tart, and smelled
a bit fishy it might have been how it was prepared, or could have been
the last day before it was to be tossed. The Cheese cake was wonderful
and rich in flavor, especially the caramel sauce. The roll was nice not
too flaky or old, but not quite fresh either.

Meal type: Brunch
Contents of the Meal: Croissant Ham & Swiss sandwich, Orange Juice,
Raspberry Yogurt, Mixed berry Breakfast bar, milk
Drink: Orange Juice & ginger ale
Comments: Nice little deli box, not very much, but enough to tide you
over till you land and get your luggage and stuff. They serve it about
90 minutes before landing. The sandwich was cold, and nice. Probably was
kept in a refrigerator, the cool juice was refreshing too. Yogurt was
creamy and fruity. The cereal bar was nice, but I think a bowl of corn
flakes would have been nicer. After trying to sleep for a few hours, it
was a nice way to end the flight.

Meal type: Dinner
Contents of the Meal: Sliced Roast Beef, Scalloped/cheesy Potatoes, Green
Beans, Sauce; Garden Salad & Ranch dressing, Butter & Roll, Cheesecake,
Chocolate Bar
Drink: Bottle water, Coke & Tea
Comments: Excellent Meal. I was hot, served soon after the pre-meal snack.
The beef was tender and flavorful, the potatoes were thoroughly cooked
and the beans tasted fresh. The salad was cool and crisp, the cheese cake
wasn't the best quality, but at least it wasn't one of those Sara-lee
instant no bake things (bleagh). The roll wasn't fresh baked, but hey
this is economy not first class ;-). Overall this a medium level coffee
house quality meal, not bad, and memorable for an airline. I rate it as
a 9 because I think it would have been nice to have a little larger portions.
;-) But overall this was an enjoyable meal.
