Comments: This was a dawn flight from LHR to AMS, just

not bad this morning. Generous amount of bacon as you can see in the picture.
Service was quick and efficient.

Route: AMS-LHR, 15 Feb 2004
Ticket price: 68 GBP
Flight duration: 50 mins
Aircraft type & class: Airbus 313
Business or leisure trip: Leisure
Meal type: sandwich - Egg mayo spinach and dill on white
bread sandwich
Drink: Carlsberg
Comments: Not bad, the bread was soft and the dill taste
came through. Egg insipid, but not too much mayo. Cabin crew were throwing
food at people in order to complete the service - we had easily started
the descent.

Route: LHR to Hamburg HAJ, 14 Feb 2004
Ticket price: GBP 67 rtn (ex Taxes)
Flight duration: approx 1.5 hours
Aircraft type & class: Fokker 70 , Y Class
Business or leisure trip: Leisure
Meal type: Breakfast
Contents of the meal: The (in)famous BMI breakfast Panini
Drink: OJ, coffee
Comments: This is the kind of meal that you will get
for BMI dawn departures. On this occasion, the Panini didn't taste that
nice... However, I shouldn't complain... my flight was so cheap and bmi
still serve a hot (and free meal) in Y-class.

Route: LHR - GLA, 23 Dec 2003
Ticket price: GBP 60
Flight duration: 1 hour
Aircraft type & class: A320, Y-Class
Business or leisure trip: Business
Meal type: Breakfast
Contents of the meal: The famous bmi Breakfast Panini! (Creamy mushroom
omelette)
Drink: OJ, Coffee
Comments: Dawn flight from LHR to GLA. I was looking
forward to something hot because the Diamond Club doesn't have hot food.
When I opened up the Panini and checked the contents, I thought that it
looked pretty horrible, however, I found the omelette quite nice although
the Panini bread was a bit heavy. One negative about bmi is their coffee...
I know that they serve Kenco (a so-called 'brand name') but the taste
doesn't match the coffee served by other European carriers. e.g. LH, KL,
Lauda
Overall, decent effort by bmi for such a short flight.

Business or leisure trip: Business
Meal type: Evening snack
Contents of the meal: Turkey and Cranberry sandwich
Drink: Sparkling water, White 'Vin de Pays de l'Herault'
wine
Comments: Nice and simple. I enjoyed it. It was funny
because the women who sat next to me couldn't stop watching me as I was
taking my pictures for airlinemeals.net. I had a new camera so took more
than usual... Unfortunately, she didn't have the courage to ask me why
I was taking the pix! If she did, I would have explained to her about
AM.net!!

Ticket price: approx GBP. 60 ow
Flight duration: approx 45 mins
Aircraft type & class: A320, Y Class
Business or leisure trip: Leisure
Meal type: Snack
Contents of the meal: Sandwich with Chicken and tomato chutney filling.
Drink: Sparkling warter (alcohol was available but I
didn't have any)
Comments: nice light snack for such a short flight. The
flight got really bumpy during the meal service and the cabin crew did
very well not to spill any drinks.
The purser was holding a tray with 2 cups of coffee when the turbulence
hit us and I was surprised and impressed that she didn't spill it. She
put the tray down on the floor and held on tight to a seat...

Meal type: breakfast
Contents of the meal?: bmi's famous warm breakfast Panini. This had a
Gruyere and Tomato omelette inside.
Drink: OJ + mineral water I took from from the diamond
club lounge.
Comments: Dawn flight from LHR. Beverage choice of water,

Flight duration: 1:20
Aircraft type & class: A320, Business
Business or leisure trip: Business
Meal type: Lunch
Brie & Mango Chutney roll, banana, chocolate crunch bar
Drink: Delcaves Champagne (NV), Water
Comments: Mmm... not what you'd really expect in BC.
To make matters worse, the Champagne was not cold, so I left it. Someone
please tell British Midland to chill their Champagne. Oh, and let's go
back to proper crockery and a cheese plate, and forget this cheap picnic
idea.
