Wine List: Louis Max Pouilly Vincelles 2000 Jacob's Creek Reserve Chardonnay 2001 McWilliam's Mount Pleasant Hunter Valley Chardonnay 2000 Louis Max Mercurey Domaine La Marche 1999 Chateau Haut-Vignoble Seguin, St Estephe 2000 Chateau Yon St Martin, St Emillion Grand Cru 1999 Dow's Late Bottled Vintage Port 1995/6 Comments: The prawn salad was good. Juicy and flavourful. However, both the chicken and the salmon fillet were very bland and disappointing. They were just not tasty enough. The ice-cream was as good as it gets. The breads were nice and warm, though. I love the Louis Max Pouilly Vincelles. It is always on the CX Business Class wine list. I always choose it whenever I fly with them. It is a very good white wine. After the meal, they gave us all a little 'moon-cake' (pic 17). It was the Mid-Autumn Festival and moon cakes are part of the celebratory foods. Nice gesture, Cathay! Ratings: 7 overall. (5 for the bland flavours, but 1 extra points for the ice cream and the moon cakes and 1 extra for the superb staff) |

Meal type: Lunch - Stir Fried Beef with Bok Choy & Rice,

Drink: Beer (or anything you wanted, really).
Comments: The beef was a bit salty and over-flavoured (MSG
even?!), the potatoes in the salad were too crunchy, but the slice of smoked
salmon in Y class? A small touch that kinda made up for the rest!
