Comments: This return flight had much better tasting meals! The salmon carpaccio was good. Juicy and not dried up. The main dishes were tasty. The prawns were done in this beautifully light curry sauce. The chicken was moist and the sauce was above average. Even the rice was not hard around the edges. The only let down was the tiramisu. It was tasteless and over-sweet.

Comments: The prawn salad was good. Juicy and flavourful. However, both the chicken and the salmon fillet were very bland and disappointing. They were just not tasty enough. The ice-cream was as good as it gets. The breads were nice and warm, though. I love the Louis Max Pouilly Vincelles. It is always on the CX Business Class wine list. I always choose it whenever I fly with them. It is a very good white wine. After the meal, they gave us all a little 'moon-cake' (pic 17). It was the Mid-Autumn Festival and moon cakes are part of the celebratory foods. Nice gesture, Cathay!
Ratings: 7 overall. (5 for the bland flavours, but 1 extra points for the ice cream and the moon cakes and 1 extra for the superb staff)
