Flying from: Houston IAH to Amsterdam AMS, 2 August 2002
Class: Economy
Meal type: Dinner - Chicken & Pasta, side salad and shrimp
w/ ranch dressing, dinner roll w/ butter, cheese and crackers, and a brownie
for dessert.
Drink: Canada Dry Gingerale
Comments: "The chicken looks tasty but was actually very
bland. The salad was nice and fresh with the single shrimp being very sweet.
The brownie had a cobbler crumb top to it, but was a little too sweet. The service
was the best part with 3 drink runs - before, during, and after the meal. I
give the service an 8. Overall satisfactory and filling for an airline meal."

Class: First
Meal type: Breakfast - Selected Cereal served with milk, strawberries,
and a banana.
Drink: Water
Comments: "Cereal was beyond Continental's control, but
what they handled was good. The fruit was fresh, and the bowl was huge. Took
about 20 minutes to finish the bowl of corn flakes."

Flying from: Los Angeles to Newark, 8 July 2002
Class: First
Meal type: Breakfast - Scrambled Eggs with herbs, accompanied
by Lyonnaise potatoes, grilled smoked pork loin, chipolata sausage, sauteed
mushrooms, and red and yellow bell peppers.
Drink: Orange Juice and 7-up
Comments: "Airline eggs were quite edible, but not great,
potatoes, mushrooms, and pork loin made up for it. Sausage was fair, so I only
ate one link. Overall, a pretty good effort for breakfast."

Flying from: Newark EWR to Honolulu HNL, 27 June 2002
Class: BusinessFirst
Meal type: Snack/Refreshment - Fresh Seasonal Fruit, Three-mushroom
pizza accompanied by marinated olives, Chocolate.
Drink: 7-Up
Comments: "Offered about 40 minutes out of HNL, this was
a good pizza by airline standards (not mine), with a nice, flaky crust, not-too-salty
cheese, and fresh fruit that evidently survived 9+ hours of a deep-freeze. By
this time it was past 10pm EWR time, so quite a few people declined this choice
even though time at our local position was around 4:00 Hawaii time. A good ending
to a delicious inflight experience."
