artichokes, feta, tomatoes, and onions, dinner roll, smoked almonds,

Dessert was ok."

Flying from: New Orleans to Cleveland, 6 January 2003
Aircraft type & class: Boeing 737-800 Coach
Meal type: Snack/Brunch - The meal included a tiny ham sandwich, a small bag of Fritos, and a Twix cookie-bar.

Comments: "A reasonable snack for a mid-length flight. I was happy to get a full can of soda and even happier that Dr. Pepper was one of the choices."

Flying from: Los Angeles LAX to Newark EWR, 19 December 2002
Aircraft type & class: Boeing 737-800, First Class
Meal Type: Breakfast - Fresh Seasonal Fruit, Fruit Yogurt, Assorted breads including croissants, cinnamon rolls, crusty bagels and muffins freshly baked on board with butter and strawberry preserves; Entrée: Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, offered with grilled, smoked pork loin, chicken apple sausage, fresh diced pineapple, syrup.
Drink: Assorted chilled fruit juices, a mimosa or Champagne
Comments: "I had the mimosa which was delicious; the fruit and yogurt were fresh and tasty; the croissant was warm and crusty just the way I like them. The entrée was delicious as well, particularly the chicken apple sausage. Later on in the flight, they served cheese, crackers and grapes, as well as freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookies. Overall, it was a delightful way to begin the day and the service was provided with lots of smiles. The flight attendants asked why I took pictures and I explained to them about the site. I gave them the address and they were looking forward to seeing the comments for Continental Airlines."
Rating: Food 10; Service 10

Flying from: Houston, TX to Phoenix, AZ, December 28, 2002
Aircraft type & class: MD-80 Coach
Meal type: snack - 2 bags of peanuts
Drink: Apple Juice
Comments: "At 10 AM, the last thing anybody was in the mood for was peanuts. On a 2 1/2 hour flight I think Continental could've been a little more creative... especially at 10 AM... One thing that bugs me is when the flight attendant doesn't give you the enitre can of what you're drinking, then fills the cup with ice and pours about a shot of your drink in."
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 2 (The peanuts were actually tasty and the juice, although very short lived, was also pretty good)

Flying from: Tampa to Houston, 24 December 2002
Aircraft type & class: First
Meal type: Breakfast - Fruit plate (honeydew melon, mango, grapes, orange slices, 1 lonely strawberry) and toasted bagel with cream cheese
Drink: water
Comments: "The lone strawberry was mushy but the bagel was sooooo good. It looked blah, but was toasted perfectly and still really chewy on the inside. The
fruit was alright, but that bagel carried the meal."
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 6 for the fruit, 9 for the bagel, 10 for the upgrade from coach

Flying from: Miami to Newark on October 5, 2002
Aircraft Type and Class: Boeing 737-300 Coach Class
Meal Type: Lunch-Snack - A three and a half-inch turkey sandwich on white bread with mayonnaise, BunnyLuv carrots, and a Majestic Chocolate/Shortbread
combination bar.
Drink: Coca-Cola
Comments: "Cost-cutting is evident here, as Continental stopped serving the sandwiches in the white tray baskets. You now get all the light meal items in a bag (like AA and DL). I'm not mad at all though. I'm just thankful I got something."
Ratings: 4 for the meal, 10 for the effort put forth in serving something where the competitors don't.

Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 2

Flying from: San Diego SAN to Houston IAH, 12 August 2002
Aircraft type & class: McDonnell-Douglas MD-80
Meal type: Lunch/Economy - Meatloaf sandwich, Ruffles potato chips, 1 pack of baby carrots (which I scarfed down), a Russell Stover S'Mores chocolate cup (similar to Reese's PB cup but with a graham cracker & marshmallow filling), and a few packets of ketchup.
Drink: Dr.Pepper, what better way to fly back to Texas.
Comments: "I really really would have liked this meal much more had I not had the WORST COLD ON EARTH EVER. I have had this meal before (living so close to Houston, I fly Continental a lot) and I really like it, I was just sick and devoid of any function in my taste buds. It's a decent meal for such a short flight."
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 5, 6 tops
