Aircraft type: Boeing 777-200
Class: BusinessFirst, business trip
Meal type: Breakfast
Contents: Fruit salad, cinnamon roll
Drink: Coffee, water, orange juice
Comments: Omelettes were available but did not opt for that. Don't particularly care for hormone induced strawberries that look nice but have little taste. The other fruits were fine. The best thing however is the cinnamon roll served sticky and warm. The whole cabin smelled of cinnamon which is warm and nice. Unfortunately, by the time I got to asking for seconds, they were all gone. Boo Hoo.

Meal: Salad
Comment: The Salad was good, average. I didn't expect it honestly, after the amount of food I recieve on the inbound flight. I just expected a sandwhich. Plus they didn't give out more bread rolls when you finished your first one.
Rating: 5/10

(314) Lunch
Comments: It was "steak" sandwhich or chicken curry. I didn't have to think twice. This tasted a little wierd to me after eating half of it, but it was decent. I mean, I think a sub at Quick Check is better. Plus a real side like potatos or coleslaw or chips or something would have been good to add to the meal. Rather that some veggies. The sauce I didn't even try.
Rating: 6/10

(315) Dessert
Comment: For dessert I expected the usual, famous baked cookies that Continental is know for. But I was wrong. It was a turtle cheesecake slice. It was good, but too chocolatey for me. I would of rather had the cookies. But better than nothing

Comment: This is pathetic. For a 4+ hour international flight with in meal time service; this is weak. I would expect something atleast hot. Sterling Silver grilled rib-eye steak seasoned with pepper, accented by red wine sauce with chanterelle mushrooms. Cheddar cheese mashed potatoes with chives. Grilled green asparagus spears
Drink: Coke
Comments: There was a spoonful of mashed potatoes and a few pieces of asparagus. The steak was large but a bit on the fatty side. I left 1/4th of it as it was pure fat. However it was well done, which unfortunately is not the way I like it. I prefer mine pink from the middle, but regardless the steak was not leathery dry like so many other airline meals, it was also smothered in only pepper making it a bit dry. The mushroom red wine sauce printed on the menu failed to appear with no reason given.

Comments: The soup was all right, but it did not help that I have had it a couple times already in the last two years on numerous CO flights. The sandwich is good the first time you have it, but not the third. I had this exact sandwich on my last LAX-IAH flight last August. The one thing that was new was the coleslaw, but I cannot say it was an improvement over the potato salad it replaced. One bite and I put it back down never to touch it again. The bowl of salted cashews was great though and went well with my ice tea. The one improvement that I did see was the chocolates. No more of those ‘Pecan Delight’ things I have been having for two years. Now it was ‘Lily O’Briens – Finest Irish Handcrafted Chocolates,’ a much better product than those Pecan Delights, thank you CO!

Drink: The usual soft drink selection (I never drink alcohol on aircraft)
Comments: On a transcontinental flight, this "meal" was beyond pathetic. Makes you think that CO is going broke tomorrow. The pastrami was just edible; the chips were inedible; the potato salad was so-so; and the cookies, well, they were the single bright spot on the tray. Meal: Appetizer
Foie gras and smoked salmon and baby shrimp served from the cart.

Meal: Lunch
Roasted duck with fresh green beans and carrots, and accompanied with garlic mashed potatoes

Route: EWR (Newark) - LAS (Las Vegas), 15 Jul 2004
Ticket price: 250 USD
Flight duration: 5h 15m
Aircraft type & class: B757, economy
Business or leisure trip: leisure
Meal: lunch?
Beef Charbroil Burger, raw mini carrots, Doritos bag
Drink: Diet Coke w/ ice+lemon
Comments: McD's is a gourmet restaurant, compared to that: Tasteless, Schlabbery Burger, no other choice than that, my girlfriend had preordered vegetarian, but no knew about it. Really, really poor food for a >5 hrs. flight! Same disgusting food on the way back to EWR. Upside: They put ice and lemon in your coke without having to bag them to do so like most times in Europe.

Aircraft: Boeing 767-200, Coach
Business, leisure: Leisure trip
Meal: Breakfast
Comments: Good effort on Continental IMO for trying to give a good, warm, filling breakfast. An egg mcmuffin sandwich, cherry-vanilla yogurt, a bran muffin, and fruit cup. My complaint about the fruit cup, it was just pineapple and grapes. I would have liked maybe more variety, maybe some banana strips or watermelon, etc. Served w/ orange juice. (not pictured)

Meal: Dinner
Veal Chop
Pan-served veal chop w/ an herb rub, enhanced by a roasted mushroom and shallot ragout w/ pearl onions. Sauteed spinach w/ navy beans.
Comments: I didn't really like this. My neighbor said her chicken was bad too. I also would have preferred some patatoes or a different veggie than just spinach and onions. I found the veal also hard to cut, and in some weird sauce. They also gave me butter for bread, but no one seemed to get any bread!
