Route: Havana (HAV) to Toronto (YYZ), 18 July 2004
Flight duration: 3h 50min
Aircraft type: Airbus 320-200, Economy
Business or leisure trip: Leisure
Meal type: Lunch
Ham, chorizo, and cheese slices, bread roll, muffin with chocolate surprise inside, jam and butter. Obligatory olives.
Drink: Pineapple juice (not in picture)
Comments: The ham and cheese were good, the piece of 'Genoa' salami was very good (too bad there was not more). No comment on the piece of chorizo as i did not even try it. Again, the bread roll was served hot and it was delicious. The muffin was very good. Light and the chocolate was a nice surprise. There was a little piece of lettuce under the meat. My biggest complaint is that were was no other vegetables (not even a slice of cucumber), which would have really helped the meal. More bread would have been better too. Overall the meal was filling and some what satisfying.
The Cuban pineapple juice was deliciously devine.
Rating 1-10 (worst-best) 6.5 (some vegetables, or salad and more bread would have improved my rating)

Flight Duration: 3h 50 min.
Aircraft type: Airbus 320-200, Economy
Business or leisure trip: Leisure
Meal type: Dinner
Chicken, roast beef, cheese slices, cucumber and tomato pieces, bread roll, butter, jam, fruit salad, black forest cake square. Of course the obligatory olive.
Comments: After a long day, this meal was very filling and very yummy. The bread roll was served hot and was so devine. The cold cuts were fresh and tasted great. I also enjoyed that there was more than one piece of tomato and cucumber. The black forest cake was good, not too rich. I was more than satisfied.

Flying from: Havana to Toronto
Class: tropical (1st)
Meal type: lunch - a little cava and roasted almonds to start (image 001) - lunch was a tipico cuban salad of leaf lettuce, carrots, and tomato...then some steamed cold lobster medallions with a tomato garlic mayo...and the entree of very good filet mignon, rice, and carrots....a little cake... followed by bread and danish cheeses
Drink: marques de caceras rioja...red and white, frexinet cava sparkling to begin, habana club 7 year old dark rum after lunch (image 002) - and finally superb cuban coffee...incomparable rum and a cuban cookie....not bad considering the constraints in getting supplies in their special period...someday things will be even better (image 003)
Meal type: lunch
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 7...but very genuine effort...a 10 for effort
