Meal type: Fastserve Snack - Bag of pretzels

got 2 bags of pretzels and 2 bottles of Delta water also.

the portion a bit skimpy.

Meal type: lunch - Beef Stroganoff, potatos, salat, bread,

Meal type: Purchased lunch - One Caesar salad and dressing.
Drink: Coke
Comments: Seat 34A - Exit Row
This meal was part of Delta's new program where you can purchase meals
in-flight. The menu describes the salad like so:
Southwest Chicken Caesar Salad: Grilled chicken breast, shredded parmesean
cheese, chopped lettuce and romaine, garnished with corn black bean relish,
croutons and Caesar dressing.
The salad was excellent with the chicken breast having an almost jerked,
Carribbean flavor. The Newman's own dressing was excellent. The flight
attendants kept asking me how it was. My only gripe was the price. This
salad is not worth $8.00 - if it had been a little more than just the
salad, the $8.00 would have been fine. These meals were apparently free
to Medallion level Delta fliers.

Flying from: Los Angeles to Honolulu, 11 December 2002
Ticket price: Used Air Miles
Flight duration: 5 Hours
Aircraft type & class: It was a very large plane
with a row of 5 seats in the middle. I was in Epnomy Class.
Meal type: Breakfast - I don't know, it was some sort
of scrambled egg arrangement on top of a slice of Canadian Bacon, on a
half English muffin. Fruit cup, potatoes, and a danish.
Drink: Orage juice and coffee on demand.
Comments: It was quite lovely.

Flying from San Francisco to New York-JFK, 18 May 2003
Flight Duration: 5h01
Aircraft type: Boeing 767-300ER, Business
Meal type: Breakfast - Fruit salad; pancakes with sausage
and a banana puree; and cinnamon rolls.
Drink: Coffee and orange juice
Comments: This was a great breakfast and shows that on
a very rare occasion one can enjoy a meal on Delta Air Lines. The cinnamon
rolls (unfortunately not in the photo) were served warm and soft and were
incredibly delicious (plus added a nice aroma to the whole cabin). They
went fast and when I asked for seconds there were no more :(. Even the
bite sized sausage was good.

Flying from: Cincinnati (CVG) to London Gatwick (LGW),
18 May 2003
Flight duration: 7 hours 15 minutes
Aircraft type & class: 767-300ER, Business Elite
Meal type: Breakfast - Fresh Fruit; Bagel & Cream
Cheese; Scrambled Egg Crepe with Asparagus and Red Bell Pepper, with Chicked
Apple Sausage and Roasted Potatoes
Drink: Coffee
Comments: Well, it might look good, but I'm sorry to
say that almost all of it tasted awful. The bagel was too dry and doughy,
the fruit was tasteless, the crepe tasted of nothing at all as did the
potatoes. The only redeeming feature was the sausage but the portion was
tiny. The service was attentive, but I usually sleep through breakfast
- sadly the amount of noise in the cabin from the crew meant that it was
not possible to sleep through despite the ear plugs and the noise cancelling
headphones. So I inadvertently decided to take the plunge and regretted
it. Why do they always start serving breakfast 2 hours before landing?
God knows I need all the beauty sleep I can get. Plus they always drop
the cabin tempertature to freezing conditions deliberately to wake everyone
up. Most annoying. Sorry, Delta, you must do better!
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 2 for the taste, 7 for the
presentation, 8 for the service, 0 for making so much noise that I had
no choice but to wake up for breakfast

Kalamata Olives with Parmesan Peppercorn Ranch Dressing;

Champagne Chanoine Freres 1991
Gin & Tonic
White - Vigna Sassoline Savignon Blanc
Red - Chateau La Barde Bordeaux
Port - Ferreira Vintage Character
Dessert - Primitivo di Manduria Accademia dei Racemi (red)
Comments: As often happens, the flowery language used
to describe the food hides the reality that this is all pre-prepared to
a cost. There was nothing here which was especially good, but equally
there wasn't anything that was bad either. Regarding the wines, again
nothing special except for the Primitivo di Manduria red dessert wine
which works well with both cheeses and some desserts. A shame one flight
attendant denied there was any on board when there was. Service wasn't
anything to write home about. Those seats in Business Elite are starting
to become relatively uncomfortable compared to some of the competition
over the Atlantic.

presentation, 7 for the service
