Route: London Heathrow LHR to Dusseldorf DUS, Sept 2004
Ticket price: £130 GBP + free upgrade from Gold Miles&More
Flight duration: 90 minutes
Aircraft type & class: Canadair CRJ 200 - Business
Meal: Dinner
A cold platter with one slice of ham, one slice of beef, a tomato with
cheese and herbs on top, a cucumber slice (one) an olive, and a sprig
of parsley. A bowl of noodles, with smaller peppers and two slivers of
spring onions. A hot roll, and butter. A bottle of Riesling Varnhalt.
Comments: This is a bit of an odd combination, but the idea is
that the ham and beef add to the noodles, making a normal dinner, and
the tomato is a starter. As always on Eurowings - just like Lufthansa
- food comes in small quantities.
The bottle of Riesling Varnhalt comes in an unusually shaped bottle and
although branded for Lufthansa City-Line this wine appears on all flights,
including Eurowings. The small Varnhalt company, located in the Blackforest
around Baden Baden (in Strasburg, the Rhine Valley) makes this fairly
sweet wine, although it is never the less acceptable, and even worthwhile
swiping, if only thanks to the unusually shaped bottle.

Route: MUC - DTM, 20 Dec 2003
Ticket price: 91,18 € (incl. all taxes and fees)
- DTM - MUC - DTM
Flight duration: 1:20
Aircraft type & class: ATR 72-210 Economy Class
Business or leisure trip: Leisure trip
Meal: Snack
A "Pick Up" - two biscuits filled with
chocolate
Drink: tomato- and apple juice
Comments: I expected a sandwich or something like that
as we took off at 7 pm. I had flown the same route in september and at
that time the service had been better than in december. It seems to me
as if service is going to be cut to a minimum. Nevertheless, the two flightattendants
were very friendly and offered two drinks for everyone.

Flight duration: 0:50 h
Aircraft type & class: Canadair CRJ 200 Economy Class
Business or leisure trip: Leisure
Meal: Snack
2 pieces of a special cake
Drink: a cup of black tea with sugar and "Zitrona"
and a glass of apple
juice
Comments: The cake was rather dry and did not seem to
be very fresh. The flightattendant provided two drinks for every passenger
and finally the famous "Eurowings-chocolat" was offered. By
the way: The tea was excellent. All in all it was okay for such a short
domestic flight. When taking into consideration the LH only offers drinks
on flights like this one, I come to the following conclusion...

Route: Warsaw (EPWA) Duesseldorf (EDDF), 3 Oct 2003
Flight duration: 1:40
Aircraft type & class: Canadair CRJ 100, Economy
class
Meal: Breakfast
Sandwich with ham.
Drink: Wide choice of different drinks.
Comments: I do understand that the companies want to
save money and give just a sandwich onboard. I really got used to that.
But this one was unbelievable. Very thin slices of toast bread, which
had been baked probably a month before the flight. It was completely dry
and hard like a stone.

they
came around with a basket of Eurowings-chocolate...very tasty !!!
