Starter was simple but tasted good. Sweet potato soup with coconut milk was really good! Main course meat was good to eat as it was not too heavy to eat. Loved the carrot puree. Cheeses were nice too.

Good cup of cappuccino completed the meal. Since when they've had an espresso machines in planes - Nice!

It looked so delicious than Japanese meal, and Japanese meal was too cold.

Meal: Supper - Smoked breast of chicken, apple and celery salad
(other choice was smoked salmon)
Panaeng chicken curry with steamed rice
(choics were red snapper w/noodles or beef with chive cream sauce)
Aple tart with custard
Drink: Joseph Perrier Cuvee Royale Brut Vintage 1999, Kim Crawford Suvignon Blanc 2004
Comments: Another very good meal courtesy of Finnair on an intra-Asian route. They have a very good service, esp. as this flight is timed to leave at 22:00 hrs, so it isn't much before 22:30 that supper begins to arrive. Portion sizes are okay (a bit light for my tastes), but the wine list is delicious, and the crew are all very enthusiastic about the wine served. Could do with dessert and coffee being served separately, instead of arriving on the tray with the first course.

Drink: Joseph Perrier Cuvee Royale Brut Vintage 1999, Chassagne Montrachet 2000, Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc 2004, Ch. La Tour Carnet 1998 Haut Medoc
Comments: A nicely presented supper service on this late (dep. 22:00 hrs) evening service to Bangkok with continuing service to Helsinki. Finnair offer a good quality meal, but portion size is not abundant. The best feature is their wine list, and the crew's enthusiasm in serving a taste of whatever you wish.

Drink: Choice of juices and coffee/tea
Comments: Not one of the best meal i had for leisure flight but the ticket was cheap compared to other full carrier airlines. The Thai cabin crews were cold and not much smiles and 2 guys' shirt appeared to be full of creases (dont they iron their uniforms?) The finnish counterparts were more cheerful in serving the passengers except for one stern looking nanny i encountered while she was serving coffee in my row.

Contents of the meal: Mixed fish starter, Moose Stew Main Course, Stewed apples & cream with a cookie for dessert, small wedge of cheese. Main course was delicious - nice to have a stew - but several UK nationals were rather upset at the choice of meat used! There was no alternative.
Drink: Jaboulet wine, cognac & coffee
Comments: The food is okay, but a let-down when compared with Finnair's excellent long-haul business class. The failure of anything green (vegetables, salad) and the overuse of plastic (coffee cup, dishes) is a bit of a shame. The service from a very friendly and attentive cabin crew was excellent.
