Comments “Grand” as usual. Air Nostrum serves two pieces of
pastry in all breakfasts on board. Delicious, handmade and vary in all
flight sectors. Orange is natural and everything is served in proper china.
At this airport SCQ, we are really glad that Iberia is transferring most
the routes to Iberia Regional (Air Nostrum).

Route: Madrid to Turin, 7 Apr 2004
Flight Duration: 1hr45 minutes
Class: Business Regional single class on Canadair Regional
Jet.
Meal type: Dinner
Tuna and fresh vegetables salad, "pimientos del piquillo", a
slice of Manchego cheese and a chocolate-hazelnut flan style pastry as
dessert.
Drink: Cava (white Spanish sparkling wine), Red "Beronia"
Rioja wine and sparkling water out of a selection of soft cold/hot drinks
and wines.
Comments: Another gourmet experience on this flight,
leaving at 19.35, so we were served a full hot light dinner. After the
nice welcome drink - pity it didn't come with the usual accompanying canapès
- the pretty stewardesses offered a choice of two mains ("solomillo"
steak with vegetables or "piquillos" stuffed red peppers, a
Spanish specialty) with an offering of three salads (assortment of olives,
tuna salad with fresh vegetables or cheese salad). Shortly after that
a cheese board with an assortment of typical Spanish cheese wedges was
brought around, followed by the offering of three desserts (fresh fruit
salad, dried fruits or chocolate/hazelnut flan cake). Everything was very
fresh and tasty and as usual it was presented on china. Top notch service
and full marks to Air Nostrum for their great inflight product (just hope
they will not cut in this area as - almost! - everybody else has done).

Route: Barcelona to Turin, 23 Dec 2003
Flight Duration: 1hr30 minutes
Class: Business regional single class on Fokker 50.
Meal type: Snack/Dinner
Gazpacho, 2 canapes (salami with gherkin and blue cheese), a cheese sandwich,
a tuna and tomato/olives salad and a chocolate-walnut brownie style pastry
as dessert.
Drink: Peach/apple juice and lemon tea out of a selection
of soft cold/hot drinks and wines.
Comments: Again simply great food service on this flight.
As on the outbound leg (TRN-BCN) the Air Nostrum service was 100% customized
to the passenger request. This flight left late afternoon, so it was a
much more than adequate snack including again gazpacho in real glasses,
followed by a choice of canapes (6 different types) offered twice from
trays by the flight attendants. Main plate offering was a choice of lomo
or cheese sandwich baguette (again absolutely tasty and fresh), followed
by an assortment of three salads. As a dessert I opted for the nice chocolate-walnut
pastry out of a choice of three desserts (fresh fruits, a pastry or dried
fruits). Top notch service and my warmest applause to Air Nostrum for
their great inflight product.
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): also for this flight +9

Flight Duration: 1hr30 minutes
Class: Business regional single class on Fokker 50.
Meal type: Snack/Lunch
Gazpacho, canapes (smoked trout and cheese/black olives), a lomo (smoked
pork loin) sandwich, a manchego cheese salad and a dried fruit bowl (figs,
dates, apricots and prunes) as dessert.
Drink: Pineapple/grapes juice and lemon tea out of a
selection of soft
cold/hot drinks and wines.
Comments: Simply great food service on this relatively
short flight. The Air Nostrum service is 100% customized to the passenger
request, and the stewardesses really have a lot of job for providing it,
but the results
shows! First of all paper tablecloths are handed out, followed by the
metal cutlery set, then gapzcho (cold Spanish tomato soup) is poured in
real glasses, followed by a choice of canapes (in total 6 different types)
offered twice from trays by the flight attendants. Then the main plate
follows, in this case a choice of lomo or cheese sandwich baguette (as
fresh and crunchy as you could possibly want), followed by an assortment
of three different salads. And to top it off, a choice of three desserts
(fresh fruits, a pastry or great dried fruits). Everything served on real
china with real glasses as well... And this style of service is provided
to all passengers as the flights are operated as single class. Truly a
great ambassador of Spain and possibly the nicest airline for gourmets
to travel these days within Europe (after Crossair has gone, and Air Dolomiti
has decided to go with a two classes product).
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): perfection does not
exist, but this flight earned +9

Comments: Again the return fight although choopy was
indeed splendid. All the plane configurated into Business regional class.
Champagne before dinner, selection of meals (Tuna Pie or Spanish Omelette),
porcelain service, selection of desserts, separate cheese board and hot
bread rolls. Nice. Well done, Air Nostrum.

Comments: If you love eating, Air Nostrum it´s
your airline. It´s not surprising why Air Nostrum operating for
Iberia Regional is repeately awarded by ERA as the top regional airline
in Europe. Regional class concept, proper china, full service and imaginative
food. Wide pitch between leather seats. A pleasure indeed. Fight attendants
passing a try full of Danish pastries, hot bread, freshly squeezed orange
