Flying from: WAW to JFK, 2 March 2003
Flight duration: 9h 50min
Aircraft type & class: B767-200ER Business Class
Meal type: 3 course lunch/dinner: appatizer, main, desert; afternoon snack / supper - in March LOT asked local chef from Szczecin hotel Neptun to prepare menu, here it is: appetizer: sirloin stuffed with ham and mushrooms, salmon and shrimp mussline ) with fresh vegetables salad stuffed into tomato ; main course: choice of: shashlik from Pollock in dill sauce, rice, broccoli and carrots or grilled sirloin, pork loin and veal with Polish hunter's sauce with potato dumplings, cauliflower, broccoli and carrots or chicken roulades stuffed with poultry, ham and bacon filling, with tomato and pepper sauce, fried potatoes and green beans (pic not taked due to camera fault); dessert: choice from tray: creamy coffee cake, cheese tartlet or apple & chocolate cake (pic017); afternoon snack: tenderlion with duck roulade stuffed with mashrooms
Drink: white wine: Chateau Dufort, reds: Marquis de Chasse 2002 and Delle Martche 2000 Danzante Sangiovese (both not rated on US Wine Spectator not Wine Ethusiast so could not give you rating...), tea coffe and broad choice of traditional alchoholic drinks (no stoli orange nor absolut mandarin)
Comments: "the meal on its own was quite good, but ... wines are terrible - like always on LOT (and only recently very limited: only one bottle for whole flight so hurry up or you get nothing) - I guess nobody there heard about Chabli, Brunello nor Chateanueuf Du Pape (not to mention great Californians). And the stewardesses: maybe it is my bad luck but why they always have these "supervisor" or "instructor" titled and much over-aged wrinkled unpleasnat and unhappy by nature women from former system serving in busiess class (!!!); while much nicer and not yet too demoralized and - in my opinion - much more world-savvy younger crews work in the back of the plane. There comes the question to one's mind: who's instructing or supervising whom at this airline?"

Flying from: Warsaw to Amsterdam AMS, 11 August 2002
Class: Economy
Meal type: Dinner - Rice, Spinach and some unidentified ragout, served with a tomato/cucumber salad (incl. dressing) and bread
Drink: The usual beverages (softdrinks, juices, alcoholic drinks, coffee, tea)
Comments: "Looked nice, tasted quite flat though... The Rice was OK, the Spinach was a bit too well-done The ragout-thing (with some unidentified kind of meat) was totally tasteless. That's why they probably served it with a slice of lemon to give it at least a lemon taste... The Tomato/Cucumber Salad was nice, but small. The cabin crew was a bit too late with the bread (which is not shown on the photograph). But they served it with a big smile (which is worth a LOT :) Nice surprise was the dessert, which was served with a cup of tea: a Polish/LOT Candybar (Chocolate filled with hazelnutcream)."
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): Thanks to the very kind cabin crew: 7
