Flying from: Hamburg to Zurich, 21 August 2003
Ticket price: Euro 128. (roundtrip)
Flight duration: 1 hour 20 minutes
Aircraft type and class: Canadair 100 economy class
Meal type: Dinner - We were offered a choice of either ham or cheese sandwich. My companion and I both chose ham. The sandwich was on a soft, whole grain baguette, with a pretty flavourless german style ham, one piece of very limp lettuce and a bit of butter.
Drink: Both my companion and I choose red wine. This was a german variety, full flavoured and fruity, but dry.
Comments: The service on board was very attentive and friendly. There was enough of both choices that all passengers were able to have their first choice of sandwich. My companion flies less often that I and gave the 'meal' a very low rating (3.5) while I travel much more often and accordingly have lower expectations for food quality. I wasn't displeased but, I've averaged our individual ratings into the official rating.
Rating: 4.25
