Route: Turin (TRN) - Amsterdam (AMS), 2 Dec 2005
Ticket price: Eur 9 + taxes
Flight duration: 1h 45m
Class: economy
Aircraft: Airbus A319-112 (EI-DFP)
Meal: Breakfast - Brioche with cream; four large cacao biscuits.
Drink: Coke and coffee
Comments: Very satisfactory in terms of both quality and quantity; one
of the very few times that airline food didn't leave me hungry. Excellence
is reached as this high quality service was provided with an extremely
low fare.

Flying from: Olbia to Paris CDG, 18 April 2003
Flight Duration: 1hr 45 minutes
Class: Economy on MD82.
Meal type: Lunch/Snack - No longer tray service or lunch
box. A sandwich offering was kindly handed out by the flight attendants.
The filling was
roast turkey, cheese, tomato and salad. Later on a new offering was served
along with your choice of tea or coffee: in this case it was a nice looking
packet containing three typical Sardinian pastries (one macaroon and two
"pabassinos" sort of shortbread containing sultanas).
Drink: I had Raìm (Red Sardinian wine) from a
selection of soft drinks, juices, mineral water (still/sparkling), followed
later by lemon tea.
Comments: The sandwich was very tasty with very fresh
bread and yummy filling. The Sardinian sweets are very good and come in
a nice looking
packet which is nice to carry along as a memento of your flight.

Flying from: Verona to Catania, 4 April 2003
Flight Duration: 1hr 35 minutes
Class: Economy (Italian domestic flights on most carriers
have only Y class) on MD82.
Meal type: Refreshment - Your choice of savoury snack
and/or biscuits. This time it featured a bag of round slightly salted
crackers and sugarless "Buonicosì" (Italian for so good)
biscuits.
Drink: I had pear juice from a selection of soft drinks,
juices, mineral water (still/sparkling) or tea/coffee.
Comments: "Same fare on all Meridiana domestic services,
independently of flight length or time of day. Appropriate easy-go accompaniment
to your drink."

2002
Class: Business
Meal type: Aperitif/Lunch - First of all an individual
bottle of Italian Chardonnay, which was followed by a hot lunch. The meal
included a platter of cold cuts, including smoked turkey, Parma ham, air-dried
veal and roasted vegetables, a hot entree of ricotta and spinach ravioli
served with a light sauce, assorted cheese with grapes/crackers and a
nice fresh berries tartlet with custard cream. Everything was washed down
with a cup of tea. The meal was served on good quality china.
Drinks: I had a glass of Raìm (very pleasant Red
sardinian wine) and sparkling mineral water.
Comments: "A very nice meal: food quality and quantity
was more than adequate, and the ricotta ravioli were warmed at the right
temperature."
