Flight duration: 1h 50m
Class: economy
Aircraft: Airbus A310-300
Meal: Breakfast - Omelette stuffed with green peppers, courgettes and
tomatoes, chicken croquettes, muffin and croissant.
Drink: Orange Juice, Hot drink of your choice.
Comments: Meal was lovely and hot, chicken croquettes were a bit tasteless
though. Omelette was light and fluffy and very filling! The muffin was
absolutely delicious...does anyone know where these can be purchased??
Orange juice had a lovely taste, no bitterness. Croissant was cold though
so spreading butter and jam on it was a bit hard. Meal loses 2 points
for the chicken croquettes and cold croissant.

Comments: PIA has really improved on its food, meal, catering. Being a pakistani myself
I feel pretty confident in judging how real pakistani food should taste,
and let me assure you one thing! Pakistan Int'l has really got its food, meal, catering
going alacarte. Every dish in the extensive menu was made perfectly. Away
from home one never missed home-cooked food. This was just at good as
mothers home cooked food. I kid you not, the service on this flight was
awesome. The crew was super polite and very attentive to the smallest
of ones needs. This 7,5 hour journey flew away just like time was on jetproppeled.
I will never forget this journey because of the food, the service and
the crew, and not to forget, that this Business plus cabin of a PIA 310
was equipped with the same B+ seats that are in the brand new PIA 777s.
Hard leather shell seats which can go totally flat and in flight entertainment
in a large screen in the back of the front seat. Also this Airbus only
has 12 B+ seats, where as the normal for PIAs other airbusses are 18 seats
(an extra row).

Flight duration: 8 hours 28 minutes
Aircraft type & class: Boeing 777-240ER (AP-BGJ), Economy Class

Meal type: Pakistani (lunch)
Contents of the meal: Pakistani style beef stew (korma) with white rice
and mixed vegetables, packaged roll, side salad, and cheesecake.
Drink: Soda, Tea, and Juices were readily availble
Comments: PIA's Manchester food, meal, catering is superb, the best meal I had on
any sector of this long flight. The main course was hot and fresh, and
the cheesecake was a very nice touch at the end (wasn't expecting this).
The inbound breakfast service to Manchester was subpar, however PIA does
a great job of providing lots of food (quality is hit or miss, either
very good, or subpar) throughout the duration of the flight. All meals
on PIA are Halal.
Rating: 8 (best PIA meal I've had)

Flight Duration: 7 hours
Aircraft: 747
Meal Type: Dinner and Breakfast
Sorry for shaky pictures but dinner was excellent. One of the best chicken
tikka masala you could get at such an altitude. Vegetable curry and rice
were all excellent. Comes with green salad, biscuit and cheese and a dinner
roll. Dessert was a bit spoiler which was some sort of fruit preserve
and cream.
Breakfast was a disgrace. A packed croissant (?) and a Danish pastry which
I never touched.
Coffee or tea and softdrinks were available.
Rating: Dinner 9 (It could have been 10 dessert was something
nicer).

Flight Duration: 7 hours
Aircraft: B747
Meal Type: Lunch and snack
Lunch was lamb masala and pilaf rice and vegetables. With green salad,
yogurt, and tandoori nan and kheer (Pakistani rice pudding). Not a great
meal quality wise as lamb masala was not tasty and nan quite hard. Kheer
was also a disgrace and rice really hard. Considering this was an Economy
Plus meal I will rank it quite lower. Snack was a chicken and other a
cheese sandwich with a kebab. Dessert was something chocolate. Kebab was
a nice touch but these cheese and chicken sandwich need to be improved
especially on international flights. This was a rare opportunity to have
bad meals at PIA.
Coffee or tea and softdrinks were available.

Flight Duration: 8 hours, B747
Meal Type: Breakfast & Dinner
Breakfast: Tinned fruit salad, Croissant with butter and fruit preserve,
eggs omelets, vegetable patties, fruit juices and coffee or tea. vegetable;
patties though soggy were tasty and fresh fruit would have been better
than tinned fruit.
Dinner: Green salad with dressing, bread roll and butter, Chicken barani
made with basmati rice, and chicken with Palak (spinach). Dessert was
some jelly and cream which was delicious. Dinner was a delightful in taste
and quantity. My advice to fellow travelers that always ask for Pakistani
option because food is much better even when compared with the good Indian
or Pakistani restaurants in most western countries. Fruit juices and coffee
or tea were available freely.
