Comments: It was ok for a short flight. The crew told us that the food, meal, catering
people forgot to load cups on so there was no tea of coffee available.
Only juice. I was lucky as I got served almost first - the juice ran out
before they served some of the passengers. Interesting that the tablemat
also doubles as a rubbish bag - and the sticker on the mat says this too.

Meal: Refreshment
Toasted Turkish Bread with Vegetable and Cheese,
Melon in Fruit Syrup and Tim Tam Chocolate Bar as desert.
Drink: Coffee and another beer (which you had to ask for)
Comments: Another pleasant surprise was to get a second hot meal instead
of the usual hard and cold sandwich before landing in Singapore. I couldn´t
really understand why they call it "Toasted bread" but it was
definitely hot and tasted much better than it looked like when opening
up for the picture. Melon desert was almost frozen as usual and completely
tasteless apart from the sweet syrup. Anyways, still a nice snack much
beyond my expectations for this flight.
Rating: 10, compared to many similiar flights on most other airlines.

Roasted Peanuts as appetizer. Green salad with herb

Cheese and Crackers. Desert: Kitkat Chocolate Bar and Magnum Icecream.
Drink: Tooheys Beer, Australian Red Wine, Coffee.
Comments: I was very surprised to see printed menues on Quantas Quattle
class. Unfortunately, the braised beef was out once it was my turn and
they only had the Asian meal choice left which was Lemongrass Chicken.
I personally can't stand the taste of lemongrass so I asked for getting
something else instead, so I ended up with some leftover child meal, which
wasn't too bad but kept me hungry. Most of the other non-Asians sitting
in the rows next to me wheren´t very happy about the lemongrass
chicken either and judging by their comments it was definitely something
for Asian tastebuds. Salad was nice though and the choice of different
Australian beers was a nice touch as well as the red wine which was definitely
one of the best I ever got on Economy class. So was the icecream served
after the main meal and getting two of them to make up for my disappointment
about the main meal choice was great, too. Overall, very efficient and
friendly service by the crew.
Rating: 6, cause my choice was out. 9 for overall service, presentation

and Polenta.
My friend had Toasted Ham, red Pepper, Mushroom and Gruyere Panini
For desert I had cheese and biscuits, and my friend had Cassata semi freddo
with Mandarin Sauce
Drink: red wine
Comments: Hard stale roll and tasteless salad
- very similar to the Economy product. Involtini was mediocre, but the
tomato sauce was acidic - I paid for it afterwards. My friend reported
that the Panini was tasty. The cheese and biscuits were Ok - have had
better on previous flights though. The semi freddo was frozen solid, and
the stewardess advised all the takers to wait 10-15 minutes (whilst on
the plate in front of them) for it to defrost! It tasted good once it
was the correct texture for eating.
