Route: Stockholm (ESSA) to Warsaw (EPWA), 11 Sep 2003
Flight duration: 1:30
Aircraft type & class: Dash 8, Business class
Meal type: Breakfast
Contents of the meal: Very cold rice with even colder shrimps and... fresh onions with cream.
Comments: As usually (at least for me) completely cold and uneatable. And again those breathfreshing ;-) onions on the morning business flight.
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 1

Route: Warsaw (EPWA) Stockholm (ESSA), 10 Sep 2003
Flight duration: 1:30
Aircraft type & class: Dash 8, Business class
Meal type: Breakfast
Contents of the meal: Arctic cold baked meat, with Siberia cold boiled
potatoes and raw fresh onions.
Comments: Brrrrrrrr. The worst meal I've ever had. Everyting incredibly
cold. It was impossible to touch the meat with the teeth, and after warming it a bit it was impossible to bite it, so hard. Potatoes were also stone-hard. And onions... It was 6:30 in the morning, and I had a business meeting just after landing. So the onion was a very good breath freshener on the morning business trip ;-). Of course I even did not touch it.
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 0 (although the temperature of the meal was below zero for sure)

Flying from: Östersund/Frösön (Sweden) to Stockholm/Arlanda (Sweden),
17 August 2003
Flight duration: 55 min
Aircraft type & class: Boeing 737-800, Economy
Meal type: Snack - Nothing else but a muffin.
Drink: Fruit smoothie (peach), soft drink of own choice and coffee/tea.
Comments: SK2065 is a domestic flight within the new Scandinavian
Direct concept but the snack was good anyway. I especially liked the
fruit smoothie they served. A nice text on the sugar packet said "As
sugar dissolves, it spreads happiness".

Comments: We had actually economy class tickets, but at the gate we were transferred to business class, and consequently the cheese and ham filled roll (which we would have perferred) was replaced by this rather tough and tasteless meal.

Aircraft type & class: A340-300, Business Class
Meal type: Dinner - Salad, Thai fish cakes, Oriental fried rice, Cabbage roll, Thai desert
Drink: Australian red wine, water
Comments: "Short flight (2h05m). OK meal, though the service was super. I believe that if you're serving an Oriental meal, then prepare the way it's meant to be prepared - SPICY!! This one was bland with no accompanying Chilli sauces."

Flying from: Gohenburg GOT to Copenhagen CPH, 24 March 2003
Aircraft type & class: McDonnel Douglas MD-82
Meal type: Breakfast - This is a 25 minute flight and the cabin crew of 5 had to work like hell to get the meals all served out. it was a nice breakfast (for a 25 min flight) which consisted of a cheese and ham baugette, strawberry youghurt followed by tea and coffee!
Drink: Orange juice
Comments: "I didn't like the fact that the same meals were served thoughout the cabin, this was before SAS stoped flying Business Class and now no one can get these "nice" meals as shown. The new concept, Scandinavian Direct, is very bad!"

Flying from: Copenhagen to Bangkok, October 2002.
Class: Economy Extra (Y plus)
Meal type: Dinner - Steamed rice with peas, steamed fish with a nice sauce and tomato, a salad consisting of cheery tomatos, fetta cheese and various fresh greens, a wonderful choclate, some soft danish cheese, and a bread roll which could be softer.
Drink: Water (sorry I always drink water when travelling not much else)
Comments: "A superb meal again SAS, as always. Whilst not the most yummy looking it tasted great, I would have appreciated a larger serving particularly on such a long flight, but I was already full with the Mexican in CPH I had for dinner."

Meal type: Breakfast - A range of smoked meats, lettuce, fresh tomato, parsley and a boiled egg. It also included a fruit yoghurt.
Drink: Water and juice
Comments: "This was a wonderful, low carb meal, I do appreciated this sort of meal, whilst simple it felt really healthy. Airlines should take a book from what SK serve meals dont need to be costly to produce and they can taste great."
