Prawn cocktail as appetizer. Chicken served with a curry lime sauce and rice. Bread roll. Dessert conisted of a carrot cake and I had tea with it.

Comments: The prawn cocktail was ok, i think I prefer it over just a regular salad. The rice was quite creamy which was nice, and the curry sauce had a lot of flavour. The carrot cake was a bit dry but nonetheless very nice. First time I flew the new SAS longhaul. Food was nice overall but leg room was not that impressive.

Comments: Good on board - just two of us were in BC. FAs very generous. Fooditself was so-so, with no choice, steak was tough, but goats cheese was yummy. Trying to get into the SAS business lounge at Heathrow T3 was another story - no obvious way to get in behind security cordon between incoming and outgoing pax, check-in staff's directions were not accurate enough, and LHR security very unhelpful indeed.

Comments: This is the worst meal I have ever had with SAS!! They used to serve more on the CPH - LHR flight, but on this flight we only got two sandwiches. The filling was ok but the bread was very dry and tasted like something that had been in a refrigerator for several days!! The best of this meal was the chocolate and the brilliant red wine I choose to drink with it.

dinner: first course was Thai schrimp and pineapple salad. For main course we had lamb filet with potato wedges, sugar snap peas and morel sauce. Desert consisted of selescted cheeses and petit fours.
Drink champagne, 1995 Henriot. Red wine, 1996 Seleccion Izarbe Reserva, Larchago Rioja.
Comments: This was a late night flight (we left EWR at midnight), so the crew went right on with dinner serving. No cocktail service. Crew was really friendly and helpful. Food was great with speedy an eficcient service whenever called upon. Lamb fillet wass real tender. A340s are relatively new with SAS, and the business class cabin offers comfortable seats with lots legroom.
