Meal: Dinner - Main: steamed rice with fried sambal fish and mushy mixed vegetables;
Dessert: water chestnut-jelly cake thingy
Drink: Coffee, juice, white wine

Aircraft: A319
Meal: Dinner - Main - penne in tomato-based sauce with pumpkin and spiced chicken;
Dessert - water-chestnut-jelly cake thingy
Drink: White wine, water, brewed coffee
Comments: Pasta was a little overcooked but still palatable; chicken was mildly spicy (not fiery) and moderately tasty; pumpkin was not too mushy or firm; best was the water-chestnut-jelly cake thingy for dessert. My kids enjoyed the pasta but found the chicken odd - a little too fusin perhaps?

Flying From: Singapore to Phuket, 28 November 2002
Class: Economy
Meal Type: mid-Breakfast - Cheese and egg lasagna dish, with sauce
and broccoli. Roll on the side.
Drink: lots of OJ and hot tea
Comments: "I normally don't fly economy, but being a pleasure trip
and only an hour and half, flight, I was surprised how good the service
was and the quality/amount of food, in ECONOMY. As a person who flies
over 350,000 miles a year worldwide, (the cutbacks, no food, lousy food,
etc. like of the cutbacks in the US especially on American and United),
this was almost as good as the US domestic First class service I get.
Also, it was nice to see that there was 5 flight attendants on board (A-320)
vs. the 3 you would see on a US flight for that type of equipment.
Also, notice the real silverware (the "killer" butter knife!!!). They were very
friendly, attentive and helpful. But, being a subsidiary of Singapore Air,
that is to be expected....Excellent service!!!"
