Ticket price: S$900/450€
Flight duration: 6h 15m

Aircraft: 777-200ER
Meal: Brunch - Shrimp Salad with mixed greens, egg and potato cubes;
Roasted Chicken with herbs, baby potatoes, mashed potatoes, assorted
broiled vegetables, Cheese and Crackers, Roll
Drink: Bar Service: Singapore Sling, White wine, peanuts; Meal: White
wine, Water
Comments: Bar service excellent, Korean stewardess misinterpreted my
drink orders and gave me two singapore slings instead of one. Both slings
had a very good kick, and white wine was good too.
Excellent meal. Chicken was tender and tasteful, salad was fresh and
there was a generous amount of shrimps, roll was warm. However, there
was a little too much oil in the chicken though. Ice cream was served
after the meal, but I was too full for any more food!
Other two meal choices were available, an indian vegetarian and an oriental
rice meal.
Excellent service by the crew too. Efficient, polite and generous!

Blueberry muffin
White roll, strawberry jam and butter

Comments: Noodles were overcooked and slightly doughy/dry. Seafood was
acceptable, not great. Blueberry muffin was huge compared to other flights
within SQ; guess it's also American-sized. It looked and smelled better
than the others I've encountered though I did not eat it.
White roll was superlative.

lemon wedge
Main: Grilled salmon with parsley butter sauce, butter rice, steamed
carrots, asparagus, chopped tomato
Dessert: fruit platter
hard-crusted wheat bread roll and butter spread
Drink: anything you want
Comments: Smoked mackerel was delicious inside the roll. This time, the
salmon was better; still overcooked in general but not as much as SIN-FRT
leg. Rice was not touched; but did not look too oily. The steamed vegetables
were average but fruit platter was good with lots of citrus. There
was also Magnum icecream bars served after dinner but I was too full
from all the food to eat one.

Comments: Was quite sick of airline food at this point. Omelette was tasty; light
and not oily. Prawns were boiled and bland. Yogurt was unexceptional. Fruit was
cold and fresh. Did not touch the Blueberry muffin looked moist but I did not
eat it. The wheat bread roll was fluffy and soft inside with good crunchy crust.
Good quantity of food and metal cutlery used. Execellent service after the stopover.

seafood salad (2 prawns, scallop, tomato wedge, lemon wedge)
Main: Grilled salmon, fingerling potato, vegetable ratatouille with tomato
sauce
Dessert: mango cheesecake
Cheddar cheese and butter crackers
White bread roll and butter spread
Drink: anything you want
Comments: Starter was average; seafood lost its taste (-1). Salmon was
overcooked (-1); tomato sauce was a bit too saltish (-1) but overall
still edible. Mango cheesecake was slightly above average; a bit fluffy
as it was not as dense as a NY Cheesecake and a plain chiffon sponge
bottom helped to balance the sweetness. Not too sweet overall with just
a tad too little mango flavor but still, I finished it all up despite
being full! (+1). Metal cutlery was served (+1) and service was uncomplainable.

Comments: The Japanese F/A immediately brought around the snack basket,
which includes Lay Chips, kit kats, sweet buns, bananas, apples, and wet
napkins, but I decide to go for the new snack menu. The Fish Ball Noodle
soup sounds good, and not disappointing. It has minced pork on top with
garlic chips, as well as the condiments of chili soy sauce, as well as
green onions. Delicious noodle! Then I worked for the rest of the flight.
I definitely gave high marks to the introduction of “real”
snack items/noodle soups on SQ long haul flights.
The light meal service began, and the F/As mistakenly gave me the Western
appetizer, which I did not mind at all (Honestly, I thought the Japanese
meal was one course, so they gave everyone the Western appetizers). Anyway,
the F/A apologized and then brought out my Japanese meal. It was delicious
and the beef sukiyaki was good, and not overly salty. For dessert, fruit
plate was offered.

I used the Book the Cook Lobster Thermidor entree.

For dessert, it is a beautiful dessert platter, as you can see from the

for passengers!. For me I still prefer 2 meals, but beings as the only
passenger in F, I guess I could request to have a taste of everything
at anytime I want?
