Flying from: Zurich ZRH to Beijing PEK, 28 October 2002
Aircraft type & class: MD 11 & Economy
Meal type: Dinner (departure was 4.00 pm) - mixed salad; chicken
with
pesto, saffron noodles, green beans ( strang combination !); apple cake;
roll ; camembert, cracker
Drink: chilean red wine ( merlot ) or swiss no name white wine,
soft drinks,
coffee, tea
Comments: "Unorganize service! All served in plastic dishes!
They offer
fish or chicken on the menu but when they arrived in our row we had the
choice to eat chicken or nothing! Salad was ok but not fresh (I had a 2
min "fight" with the salad dressing box to open it ), the chicken
was hot,
the noodles " al dente " but all with much less spices and salt, the
apple
cake was a joke from his size and sticky ! The Crew was boored,
uninterested and had no knowledge what wine they offer ( answer on my
question if the wine is dry or sweet was : Taste it !!! ) Very old plane,
unclean restrooms, no overnight kits, no service during the night!
Absolutly no comparison what they are doing on innereuropean flights!
Realy disappointed!"

Flying from: Zurich ZRH to Singapore SIN, 11 December 2002
Aircraft type & class: MD-11, first
Meal type: dinner, breakfast, light meal (after stop in Bangkok)
- all I'll say here is that (1) the picture caption describes what you're seeing,
and (2) image 077 is Char in Chard, a really nasty fish-dish.
Drink: Hint: don't ask for Mimosa in Bangkok. The OJ there
is up there with the Char in Chard.
Comments: "I have the full Swiss menu for this and the
Newark-Zurich flight. Just write me and I'll send it along. Again, Swiss gets
my vote as THE way to fly."
