During the cruise, the cabin attendants offered water about 6 times. You can’t see it well, but “Four weddings and a funeral” is performed on the IFE’s classic movie channel.
Mid-flight desert: Wonderful Mövenpick caramel ice cream
Snack: Half a pizza with a glass of Swiss white wine

Comments: Probably still one of the best airlines on North American routes, but you can see every cent they try to save: nearly everything is plastic (glasses, cuttlery) or cardbox (cups), the nuts of the pre-lunch drink are gone (here again, see it in a positif way: many other airlines don’t even serve a pre-lunch drink...), the portions are quite small (three little pieces of chicken) and the desert of the main meal is a pre-packet item (comparing to a mousse or a piece of cake in earlier years). The quality of the main meal was very good, the pizza however had an industrial taste. Thumbs up for the Baileys and the delicious ice cream!

Comments: Excellent! The plane between BKK and ZRH was fully booked, but the FA was very friendly and attentive. The new seats in Swiss business class are great - if you read the instructions for the control panel. I slept seven hours without any sleeping pill.

Comments: This meal can be described with one word: disgusting. The
so-called "beef" tasted so much like rubber that I wasnt even sure whether it was meat. The potatoes tasted very artificial and the sauce the were in was disgusting. The only thing which was ok was the vegetables. The peas were alright (although nothing to write home about) and the salad was actually very good. The cake was dry and very plain. Swiss really needs to sort out their contract with their American caterers. Even though the outbound meal was not too great, it was miles better than this. The poor food, meal, catering on Swiss is a real shame, since they are a fantastic airline with a friendly crew and state-of-the-art IFE. Hopefully, they sort out their financial problems soon so that they can start investing in better food.

Comments: This option was miles better than the first (Safran noodles). The chicken was tender and juicy, and the sauce gave a very good flavour. The entire meal was a bit too small, however, and left the

Comments: The snack was not very good; the "soggy" pizza tasted very artificial and microwaved. I was very hungry, however, after the first meal (lunch), so I ate the entire thing. The cookie was an insult. It was tiny, and even though they offered us two I rejected since it tasted utterly disgusting; like a mixture of stale rock and hey. Swiss could have really done better with the snack, and could have maybe offered a chocolate bar instead of the rock...sorry, cookie.
