Meal: Breakfast - Selection of cheeses
Omelette with fried mushrooms and pepper

Comments: UIA seem to be repetetive as far as breaksfat is concerned.
For however long I have been flying this route, they've not changed the
breakfast. I think it is high time they chenged their catering company
at KBP!

Route: Kiev Borispol to London Gatwick, 9 December 2004
Ticket price: GBP 300ish
Flight duration: 3 hours
Aircraft type & class: Boeing 737, Economy Class
Business or leisure trip: Business
Meal type: Breakfast
Contents of the meal: Omelette, potato croquettes, sausage, bread roll,
yoghurt
Drink: Coffee and water
Comments: Well, the most striking thing about this meal was the very lurid
yellow colour of the omelette. Decidely unnatural, but perhaps this was
the caterer's attempt to support the Orange Revolution in Kiev. Sausage
was pure plastic, so I didn't touch it - and I wasn't sure why it was
split down the middle...to reveal its meat free content perhaps? I ate
everything else including the fastidiously wrapped bread roll. I was fairly
hungry I suppose.

Flying from: London LGW to Kiev Borispol KVP, 2 May 2004
Ticket price: GBP 218
Flight duration: 3 hours
Aircraft type & class: Economy 737-400
Meal type: Cold pancake with potato filling, baked beans
and slice of marrow; pineapple pieces; breadroll + butter
Drink: Ukraine 'Economy' Wine.
Comments: You wouldn't think you could go wrong with
pancake could you? Oh yes - when it's deep frozen. Even the beans are
cold. And as for the slice of raw marrow. Why? Just why? Is that all that
Ukraine produces? Are there vast fields of the stuff surrounding Borispol
airfield just to supply the poor demented fools who think that airline
food, meal, catering has got out of the 60s? This meal must win the award for the
worst mean of all time on any flight!
