Comments: "The ravioli was a bit more edible than it looks. The sorry salad, however, was not. The breadstick and cookie were both too crispy for my taste."

Class: Coach
Meal type: Dinner - Sliced roast beef, carrots and broccoli with mashed potatoes and gravy. A shrimp and celery salad, plus a green salad and dinner roll with cheese and crackers. Dessert was a creamy cheese cake.
Drink: Diet Coke
Comments: "The roast beef had a nice flavor and I wondered if this we a menu item from the summer taste of Chicago promotion? The mashed potatoes tasted like instant. The shrimp salad was a nice addition, but the accompanying celery did not have much added flavor from the covering light dressing. The cheesecake was tasty but a bit too sweet for my tastes."

Flying from: Denver to San Francisco,
June 2002
Class: United First
Meal type: Dinner -- United Midcon: BBQ Ribs served a mixed vegitable side along with a side salad, dinner roll, and Eli's Cheesecake
Drink: Pepsi with a lemon
Comments: "This meal was very filling, but it left quite a bit to be desired. The ribs were very very dry and hard to eat. The roll became rock hard from the time of warming them to the time that I ate them. The salad and the salad dressing were quite good, and I devoured it all. The cheesecake (which I could hardly eat after being stuffed from the ribs) was wonderful. The cheesecake alone is a reason to fly United. I have better, although the meal was served nicely, and was very filling."
