Comments: The second meal service on Y-class International UA tends to be a boxed snack, which comes in a simple but tastefully designed paper box. I wasn't hungry as the dinner service was only served about 3.5 hours earlier so this size of snack is plenty. Not a brilliant meal but adequate. The UA Coffee is Starbucks and is excellent. Strong with a nice aroma. Much better than many other airlines.

Comments: Nice Absolut Vodka Bloody Mary before the meal. The UA wine selection didn't look too exciting so I opted for a Tanqueray & Tonic with the meal. Chicken was actually not overcooked (rare for an airline meal). Dessert not great but at least the cake wasn't heavy. All in all, a decent effort by UA. To round off the meal and help me get to sleep, I had a couple of miniature Jack Daniels.

To Begin- Spiced Shrimp and Chicken Wellington.
Main Course: Filet Mignon with BBQ sauce- accompanied by buttermilk mashed potatoes and braised Swiss chard. Garden salad with Asian sesame ginger dressing.
Drink: Champagne served with assorted nut mix before meal/Shiraz served with appetizer and dinner
Comments: Champagne was OK, shrimp was just fair (not spicy like described in menu) and I didn’t touch the chicken Wellington. Main course was excellent, however I could have done without the BBQ sauce, but the meat was cooked perfectly. Salad was tasty too. I skipped desert so I could catch some shut eye.

Comments: They turned out to be really good. Sesame Ginger Dressing boosted up the flavor of salad. Flight attendants came back frequently to get an order for second/third drink.

Comments: Adequate quantity. Quality not too bad. A good effort for Y-class. I didn't like the cheese biscuits that was served with my bloody mary. Cadburys 'Crunchie' ice cream was fabulous!
