Ticket price: $280 RTU airtickets inclusive of airport

Flight duration: Approximately 3 hr 20 min
Aircraft type: A320
Class: Standard economy
Business or leisure trip: Leisure
Meal type: From SIN-HGK, it was Chee Cheong Fun and
the return flight is fried vemiceilli.
Drink: Plain water and free flow of coffe and tea
throughout the flight.
Comments: The flight crew is fun and bubbly, but
perhaps they weren't enough of them on flight. Food
came in a simple box and it was tasty for both meals.
Although there was free flow of water, one would have
to 'call' the attendent for it every now and then as
they do not appear frequently.
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 8.5 on average for meals on
both ways.

Route: BKK-SIN, 28 Jun 2004
Ticket Price: SIN-BKK-SIN (return) at S$199 + $39 taxes
& misc. charges
Flight duration: 2 hours 20 minutes
Aircraft type & class: A320-232, economy class
Business or leisure trip: leisure trip
Meal type: dinner
(1) fried ïnstant" egg noodles with savoury minced meat sauce(am
guessing that it was chicken) and diced carrots and peas; and (2) banana
nut muffin
Drink: packet of mineral water and coffee and tea that
was served shortly after
Comments: Another nice warm meal featuring that magical
savoury minced meat sauce over noodles. The food portion was of an appropriate
size. More whacky antics came from the crew who are bringing "Smiles
Ahead" to the flying public here. We were served some iced expresso
(personally made by a crew member) a bit later and it was good.
Rating 1-10 (worst - best): 7.5.

Flight duration: 2 hours 20 minutes
Aircraft type & class: A320-232, economy class
Business or leisure trip: leisure trip
Meal type: after lunch snack
(1) "fun quin"/"chee cheong fun" (a Chinese rice flour
kind of wrap that is steamed) with savoury minced meat sauce (am guessing
that it was chicken) and (2) banana muffin.
Drink: packet of mineral water and coffee and tea that
was served shortly after.
Comments: This was a nice warm meal served by Singapore's
first budget carrier. The food was of an appropriate size for a snack
and came in a cute yet stylish box as seen in the pictures. The crew were
great - they entertained the entire plane with their songs and whacy antics.
Most definitely a great way to fly for the budget carrier scene in Singapore!
Rating 1-10 (worst - best): 7.5.

sliced mushrooms; this was nicely warmed up)
- Banana muffin
- Light soy sauce and chilli suace for flavouring

Comments: Valuair is SIngapore's first low cost carrier;
the inflight meals are a selling point actually. Heard that they served
merely sausage rolls on other flights though.
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): 5 (better than expected for
a low cost carrier)
