Midnight departure, only meal was prior to landing. Overall good taste, filling enough and certainly better than what some American carrier call "breakfast." Not bad for a discount carrier.
Pre-departure of sparkling raspberry soda and chocolates. Cocktail of Jim Beam Black with water and mixed warm nuts. Assorted canapes. Appetizers selected from a trolley of Octopus salad, stuffed eggplant marinated in olive oil, marinated artichoke, grilled vegetables, lentil salad with goat cheese, chicken Caesar salad, and homemade cheese spring rolls. Creamy broccoli soup. Main of Grilled beef medallion with rosemary & balsamic sauce, mixed vegetables and steamed rice.
Drink:
Jim Beam Black and water Doluca Karma Cabernet

One of the best meals I had a flight. Was a bit worried about the service as I have read it can be chaotic and underwhelming, but this crew outdid themselves. the Do&Co catering was delicious.
Fresh Fruits, yogurt with honey, chicken & turkey breast with assorted cheese. Main of gratined crepe with scrambled eggs, tomatoes, peppers, herded-sauteed mushrooms and gilled green pepper and cherry tomato. Bread selection with Sour Cherry jam.
Drink:
Sour Cherry juice and lemonade with fresh mint.
Comments:
Was very good and the crew was wonderful as well. Surprised by the attention to detail and love the sour cherry juice and jam.
Warm Appetizer - Seafood filled pastry and chicken skewer with Asian style sauce
Soup - Creamy Ginger Carrot
Fresh Seasonal Greens - Roasted tomato, bell pepper, dried cranberries and croutons with a creamy passion fruit dressing.
Main Course - Lamb Steak with natural jus, potato gratin, fine greem beans and balsamic mixed vegetables.
Dessert - Ice Cream with your choice of toppings and assorted petite sweets (which never appeared)
Drink:
Casteinau Blanc de blancs Champagne, Jack and Water, and Yamhill Valley Pinot Noir
Comments:
Will say the crew was wonderful and very attentive but this is hardly a first class offering. Plastic cup for pre-departure ect. Food itself was OK, but nothing special. Outside of the seat which was comfy there is no need to pay for first on United.
