Flight duration:
10h 35m
Flight class:
economy
Aircraft:
Airbus A340-211, ZS-SLD
Meal:
dinner - main - Dinner: Beef with safran rice and vegetables, salad
and chocolate cake.
Breakfast: Croissant, fruit salad, low-fat yoghurt, egg, patatoes
and a tomato.
Drink:
Pre-dinner drink: Gin tonic, South African Red Wine, tea after
meal; Ginger Ale during the night; OJ and tea during breakfast
Comments:
The meat was not very tender (one point off), but overall a
good meal. Apart of the strange low-fat yoghurt the breakfast was nice,
not many airlines still serve hot breakfast, additionally they made two
coffee services. I have to take another point off for the lack of Baileys
after dinner and half a point for not giving us a bottle of water before
the night as they did on the flight to South Africa.

Meal:
snack - Chicken-mayo sandwich
Drink:
Hot Castle Beer
Comments:
The service began, we got the sandwich and had to wait nearly
20 minutes for the drink. When I was finally served the beer (you can
see that I finished the sandwich in the meantime) it was really warm.
The sandwich was ok, but in all I was disappointed, the course of the
service wasn't good, it should be possible to get the sandwich and the
(cool) beverage at the same time.

Meal:
snack - Cheese and beef sandwich
Drink:
Ginger Ale, later on tea
Comments:
As the flight left at 10 a.m. I didn't expect too much, a sandwich
was reasonable. They made two bar services! The topping of the sandwich
was good, the bread however very cold and a bit hard. Not a highlight for
my 175th flight.

Meal:
dinner - main - Dinner: Choice of chinese chicken or beef stroganoff,
prawn salad and a mousse of chocolat.
Breakfast: Choice of egg or cold meat (not pictured)
Drink:
Gin Tonic (pre-dinner drink), South African Red Wine, later on
tea; tea and OJ during breakfast
Comments:
It's nice to get a pre-dinner drink, but they forgot the salted
nuts. Also, you have to order the drinks for the meal at the same time
as there is no more drink service with the meal, which I think is a bit
strange. The picture with the tea is my 150th picture for this site ;-)
The meals were quite good, but is has nothing to do with chinese chicken
or stroganoff...
The breakfast was a classic plane-breakfast. However some airlines substituted
the plate by a cardbox with nothing inside, I still prefer the trays.

Drink:

A very nice snack. The tea service however is not necessary on such a
short flight, the crew had to hurry, I felt a bit sorry for them.

Aircraft:

Meal:
Deluxe snack - Small cheese sandwich with a little tomato
Drink:
Proseeco Brut served in a real glass
Comments:
On my previous flight I got two sandwiches, but this time we
got only one, as there was only one cabin attendant on board. But she
did a great job, she offered a refill of champaign and brought cookies
before landing. And all this on a 50 minutes (41 minutes flying time)
domestic flight. A great way to fly. (However I prefered the branded refreshing
towels, see picture 001).

Meal:
Snack - First a pizza style bread, good, could have been a bit more
spicy. Shortly before landing a 'petite madeleine'.
Drink:
Evian still water
Comments:
Small, but definitely a great touch to offer a snack, even on
short routes. If you compare to what the formerly state- and now Lufthansa-owned
competitor Swiss offers, you get much more for you money by flying Baboo.
The small plane allows take-off and landing about 20 minutes ahead schedule.
Next time I bring my own origano and it'll be a 10 ;-)

A very nice way to start in the day. Baboo has a deal with Geneva
based capocaccia bakery, they provide baboo a simple but very appreciated
food, meal, catering. Where else you get a snack like this on a domestic flight with
a flying time of about 30-40 minutes? Thumps up, baboo!

Meal:
snack - Salted nuts (quite a large bag)
Drink:
Prosecco (Josello, Italy, 2dl)
Comments:
17:00 - 18:05 LT
The flying time tonight was only 48 minutes, the crew had to hurry to
complete the service. I paid 4 Euro for the Prosecco and 1 Euro for the
large bag of salted nuts, which is ok. I give one more point as they removed
these ugly add stickers from the tables (see picture 018). I would appreciate
smaller glasses for wine and prosecco - may I have to come down to earth
- this is a low fare airline - but a very nice one :-)
