"Shrimp was good though the puff pastry and
the sauce in it were a bit dried out. Good w/o the sauce. Salad was good as
usual. Prawn main course was reported good. The beef steak tasted like it had
been steamed which seems to be typical of steaks prepared in US Airbus galleys
(have had this "style" of steak only on Airbus flights and not Boeing
galleys for whatever reason). Cheese cake varies in creaminess. Companion prefers
the less creamy cheesecake."
"Both meals appear to be fall lunches and dinners
for US east coast flights. Pizza was rather good. The rice with the chicken
carried off a little better and was better cooked than an earlier identical
meal. It's not quite risotto but not normal rice either. Can't figure what they
are trying to make it to be. Ruger Xo Xo chocolate sticks (made in Austria)
are delicious."
"Both snacks were good but the tortellini was
delicious while the penne pasta was creamy but rather bland. Chicken breast
was more substantive than the prawns."
"Disaster: caterers apparently spilled the appetiser
so none was offered. No menus loaded either. Salad was with choice of ranch
or vinaigrette, entree
was turbot (not shown), stuff chicken breast with julienned carrots and mash,
or steak with pepper sauce, french beans and mash. Main courses are not pre-plated.
Cheesecake was a bit soft/airey/spongey and on the light side (preferred by
my companion)."
