They had a red bordeaux wine and a red burgundy, but their bordeaux was better. With dessert, I had an armanagnac XO.
Although smaller in quantity than Delta's BusinessElite meal service, the overall quality was better. The foie gras was just as good as you would find on any restaurant on the ground, and French butter tastes much better than it's American counterpart. Chicken was typical airline chicken (overdone and tough), but the heavenly potatoes and sauces made up for it. Cheese selection was very good as well, even though I didn't have room tofinish it. Although I do like the ice cream that the US airlines give you, the cake was pretty good as well. (After reading so many rave reviews of the petits fours basket, I had to ask for one. It was pretty good, but not the best dessert I've ever eaten) Wines were great, and AF has a self service bar in the espace cabin on long haul flights.
