Dinner served on this 5pm flight to Delhi. No cold/hot towels offered at any time. No table mats either. Aircraft was an fresh ex-SQ one, with a J class configuration of 2x2x2. Seat pitch was less than an original Air India A310. The tiger prawn cocktail was excellent. Large juicy prawns. The bread was warm. The first entree was very innovative for Air India. The salmon was a chunky piece of fish, prepared delicately with the sauce. The accompanied veggies went well with it. Entree two (chicken) was as original an Indian dish you could imagine. Perfect in preparation and presentation. Desert was imaginative and excellent too, though sweet. There was an international touch to the meal. I do not understand the all in a tray service bit. The vegetarian option was Shak Navratan (mixed vegetable curry), rice pulao, and daal. The desert was Phirni with nuts. Overall there was ample to eat.
