I last flew with All Nippon about 2 years ago and I have noticed the sharp drop in standards on their in-flight food, meal, catering... Crew were good and very friendly but that doesn't make up for the small portions on their main meals... One interesting thing about their meal service is they have an insulated cloth bag to keep their bread rolls warm... I don't know of any other airline that does that. For the first time in so many years, I was still hungry after the meal that I had to ask the cabin attendent for a second helping. To my surprise, he didn't only give me another main meal, but he also passed me the entire tray!
