You can preorder your meal up to 30 days prior to departure. I preordered the Grilled Chicken. The other choice was Vegetarian Chili. The chicken was moist and fork tender for a change! The prosciutto appetizer was unexpected, and nice. And after dinner we were served strawberry ice cream. That was also unexpected! The rating went up to a 9 because of the ice cream on a 2 1/2 hour domestic flight. The competition serves cookies for desert on this route.

Equipment: The tray was full but everything fit. The silverware on American seems larger than other airlines and this is much better.   //   Other: Well done American Airlines
