In previous posts, I reviewed this same breakfast. Today it was so incredibly terrible, that it required a new review. American has served this same breakfast on this route for so long that I cannot remember when I had something different. At least three passengers of twelve declined breakfast as many people do not care for oatmeal. Today it was soupy and very bland. As the photo shows, there was standing water in the oatmeal which made it soggy and more unappetizing than on other flights. As usual, American saves money by adding a tangerine rather than paying someone to slice it. Rather than a banana, the airline saved money by placing a small box of raisins on the tray. The only good part of the meal was the lemon bread. Orange juice was cold which is a surprise as the plane sat overnight at the airport; the single digit temperature must have helped. Overall, an unpleasant meal which should have been changed some time age. Of note, this airport does not have catering and the plane sits overnight so it's most likely not practical to cater meals which require heating.
