"The Beefeater gin and champagne in the lounge disappointing. On board, the Tanqueray No. Ten left the Beefeater miles behind, although I had to ask for some more tonic as it nearly blew my head off first swig. The duck starter was good (forgot to take pic). Warmed bread selection was fantastic, still warm and moist, except they ran out of olive bread - my favourite. The main course was the second best airline meal I've ever had (first was a Qantas FC curry a couple of years ago from SYD to SIN). The lamb had been marinated and was better than many Michelin starred attempts on the ground. Outstanding. Cheese, especially the sharp blue, was excellent with plenty of freshly warmed bread and biscuits available. Wines were fantastic, especially the Sancerre and the Margeaux. The enormous quadruple Baileys they served at the end finally sent me off to sleep. Fantastic."
