Words fail. When someone mentioned to a flight attendant that the food was bad, the response was, "We're the only ones serving meals." If I fly Continental again (and I hope I won't), I'll know to bring my own food anyway. By the way, a Philly cheesesteak is actually made from thin slices of steak. This was more like a McDonald's Sausage McMuffin. Note the processing marks on both the meat and the roll. Untouched by human hands is the best thing you can say about this. Even better was the flight to Seattle, when they served a stromboli (melted cheese wrapped in soft bread - see CO photo 202 on this site) with both potato salad and potato chips. The healthiest thing in both meals was the cookies. Or not eating.
