Packaged Nuts & Mimosa Starter: Shrimp & Avocado. Japanese 1st course (All items were cold) Top Left: Shiitake Mushroom with Chinese peas and carrot. Top Right: Shrimp and Cucumber with Japanese Vinegar Center: Fried Eggplant with Dengaku Miso and Chicken with sansho teriyaki shrimp shinjo, Koya Tofu, and dried apricot. Lower Left Shiitake Mushroom in jellied broth. Lower Right: Palette cleanser (not sure the name) Japanese Dinner: Steamed Salmon with Vegtable sauce served with steamed rice, and miso soup. In Flight Snack: Cold Soba Noodles with Wasabi & scallions. Seasonal fresh fruit & Green Tea. Almost There: Black Pepper Beef with cabbage and Chinese noodles. Fresh Fruit, Carrot Cake, bread (on a plate!).

Pre Departure Mimosa - Sake & Green Tea In Flight (Served in traditional cups)

Shrimp & Avocado the traditional Delta starter, avocado was a bit brown, but tasted okay. First Course tasted good, and fresh. and got me excited to head to Japan! Dinner: Great lite tasting main course. Miso soup could have been a bit hotter, but otherwise good. The pickles listed in the menu were missing. In Flight Snack Soba Noodles were dry, and "came to life" once the provided sauce was added. Almost There: Well presented full meal I would expect for lunch or dinner on a 4hr + flight and it tasted good. Perhaps more sauce for the noodles would have made it a bit better.
