Greeted with warm nuts and a cocktail (Woodford Reserve Bourbon neat); Starter of Poached Shrimp and Codfish with black garlic emulsion, port wine figs and roasted hazelnuts (tasteless, required me to add a fair amount of salt); Caulifolower Couscous with pine nuts, brown butter vinaigrette, caramelized plums and shaved parmesan cheese (the highlight of the entire meal was this innovative salad); Parsnip Cream Soup with croutons (comforting); Main of Grilled Beef Tenderloin and Port Wine Butter with barley and kale pilaf (that was absolutely gross), roasted butternut squash, and artichokes (not cooked properly and were inedible). I skipped dessert but they offered Vanilla ice cream with sundae toppings, a Pecan Sizzler, or a fine cheese selection (Notero, Royale Morbier, Fourme d'Ambert) with fresh fruit and onion jam.
