This was pre-ordered as a special "Chinese" meal on this flight to Shanghai. It was supposed to feature braised pork belly. The whole meal was disappointing as it seemed very one-dimensional, boring and actually some of it was inedible (the braised pork belly was more like pork jerky it was so tough and overcooked...it tasted like it died screaming). For a business class meal, I think that the economy passengers ate better than I did on this flight. The wines were boring and light (the particular one that I drank was an inexpensive one that did not hold up well to drinking at altitude and the red selection was Jaboulet Parallel 45 which is an inexpensive readily available red). One of the fun parts about flying in business class is the mystery of being surprised by generally great food and beverage selections. In this case, I should have brought on my own food and drink.
